I'm having problems with mine too. Despite being set up fine, it momentarily slipped into neutral causing me to fall of the bike. I'm glad I wasnt on the road as I'd have been under a car! Dont trust it now :?

I bought a DW Turner after a seried of Horst link bikes. Its the first suspension bike I really get on with, the suspension action is superb and it climbs way better than I can.

However it creaks like mad and if you are heavy, the large air can shock is a bit poop without a tune.

You could always offer a shim and longer bolt option on the rare occasion that there is a clearance problem?

I have ridden it the last 4 years and there are a massive variety of bikes and abilities. Its not a race so take your time, enjoy it and take advantage of the free cake!

Why not ride home if it isnt too far?

Radogg, the distance and speed are all out. I told you you to amend the wheelsize on your computer when you upgraded from your old bike.

The assumption seems to be that everone has the same level of vision. I struggle with contrast in the dark and dont find the highest setting too much.

King if you can, I reckon one of the best made bits of bike kit ever!

If you like a damaged steerer. Nicely made but poorly designed.

Look at the 'Pedal for Scotland' website. Massive Glasgow to Edin charity ride next week and the route is online.

Stans trashed a Maxxis High Roller LUST of mine recently. The tyre developed several large bubbles on the tread that distorted the tyre badly. This was over the course of a 2 hr ride.

Looks nice, interested to see the full build. My only concern about HS is how long do those BBs last and how much do they cost to replace.

The downside of this being that now people know I'm coming a lot wont turn up.

I sold my 08 P7 frame after getting fed up with the problems you described. I too got the updated dropouts but the tiny bolts are useless in stopping the plates rotating or slipping under load.

I am about the same height as you and went for an XL DW 5 spot where I normally go for 18 or 19" frames. Absolutely no regrets as the new frames offer ample standover and dont look big in the flesh due to the low top tube.

Look over on the mtbr Turner forums for further sizing questions.

Frame and fork only initially as I had existing wheels/bits and sourced the groupset from Merlin. I think delivery took about 2-3 days from ordering online.

Has all the fixpoints to take a proper rear mudguard but front will be dependant on fork choice eyelets/clearance). Rear clearance is good so you could get some pretty wide tyres in there. No rack mounts.

Like the hidden cables on the sram shifters but the Dura Ace is a much prettier groupset imo. (shallow I know)

P.S. TLR if you are undecided on sizing, mine is an XL and fits my 6'3" frame like a glove

    Open pro rims

Weight of full bike around 17.5 lbs with no weedy components as I am not a whippet.
