I dont think IVe bought much this century, so pretty everything I have!

original M952 XTR (Full groupset still running perfectly) none of these girly discbrakes or nine speed setups here
99 Carbon fs giant
Syncros posts and stems
1996 cannondale roadbike
carbon giant frame
Original mavic crossmaxs
1996 endura 3/4 length bibs
1996 mt500 shorts
1996 IRC tyresCant be that bad using most of that lot I came 4th overall in the vets in the mud sweat and gears series last year…
bigdawgFree MemberIve built up a tacx over the years that can do the real life videos..Other than the boring alpine climbs theyre great. My favourite is the world cup mtb courses (germany and spain) – you can race against yourself (previous rides) or try to catch that guy in front (never managed it though!) Even in summer Ill do 2 hours fast on one of these the week before a race – the fortius ones are really realistic too with the dvd adjusting the resistance at the back wheel during the ride…
bigdawgFree Membertheres a campsite from memory right outside Les2Alpes – been there many many times….
bigdawgFree Memberdid you pay by paypal – Id put a claim in through them if you did.
Have any of the mods commented yet re this?? I appreciate you cant check every item being sold but it must be obvious who's here just to sell (and not contributing).
bigdawgFree MemberSo after reading through 2 pages I havent seen any reason here not to have it done, unless Im missing something – why wouldnt anyone have it…? What exactly is it anyones afraid of..??
bigdawgFree Memberunfortunately although this is a lovely idea last year's britney spears concerts proved you dont have to perform live to make any money…
bigdawgFree Membernot sites but books:
Nancy clarkes sports nutrition handbook
Anita Bean , cant remember what its called but youll find it cheap on amazonbigdawgFree MemberIm assuming this is life insurance we're talking about, but the rules are the same – the company should not have accepted instructions from anoyone other than the named policyholder – and if someone is impersonating you then thats blatant fraud
bigdawgFree Membersaw the specials last night (prob the most fun Ive ever had at a gig), going to see chuck berry next sunday and them crooked vultures in December…
bigdawgFree Memberdepends on your company policy – mine (which Ill be taking next week) is 2 weeks on full pay..
bigdawgFree Memberhave you tried reproofing them?? No fabric remains waterproof without treatment.
bigdawgFree Memberif youve been trying for years I would have sat down and worked it out myself , or asked someone else to do it for me (music teacher..??)
bigdawgFree Memberbut what would happen if they stopped breathing whilst not in the cot (ie pram, car seat etc…) and you didnt notice?
or even if he was on his three wheeled trike and tried to ride down the back steps (approx 1 1/2 feet!!) and landed on his face… (no bruising I was impressed, but he was wearing a helmet!)
its almost bizarre how quickly you go from totally wrapped in cotton wool to 'yeah but thats what kids do'… I used to wind the other half up by commenting that she couldnt be using enough cotton wool as I could see his nose…
bigdawgFree Membermyfatherwasawolf – get one of these that was exactly why we bought ours..
bigdawgFree Memberok a quick look around would seem to say that theyre a pad under the mattress that detects movement – wont work with some matresses (mine partcularly) and if the baby doesnt move for ten minutes youre not going to be getting any sleep…
I did see some with a little hrm that attaches to their nappy too – could be painful if they rolled onto it…
bigdawgFree Membermastilles how do they work?? Is it sound activated, HRM activiated? I do know where youre coming from would speak to your wife regarding the reliability of them and how it could have her running up and down the stairs every ten minutes – normal monitors do this anyway! Due to our cats loving warm spaces to sleep in my son was in his own room (with a closed door) from day one, with a normal monitor to listen in, but saying that when he managed to roll over for the first time my other half spent the night in his room holding his arm, despite having a pur flo mattress (impossible to suffocate with one!)
bigdawgFree MemberIs simple – the mouth goes over the mouth and nose of the baby rather than pinching the nose with your fingers as you do in other circumstances.
Are treated in the same way as you would with a child/adult
Are you sure I was told you could literally burst their lungs, also chest compressions are carried out with no more than 2 fingers…
tbh I wouldnt bother with breathing monitors unless they have stopped breathing in the past. Weve never needed more than a normal monitor with our littlun and will be using it again with the new baby…. due about nowish..!
And how do they work im assuming they dont have to wear HR straps…??
bigdawgFree MemberDid Alistair give any indication on how we receive our prizes?
no but he did confirm the results on the website have now been finalised (ive been relogated to third!!) – I expect theyll be contacting us shortly, Ill give him a nudge if ive not heard by saturday… Soulnds like theyve had a nightmare with the results though – some riders werent even added up properly…
bigdawgFree MemberIve spoken to alistair @ MS&G – he is trying like mad to get a winter series organised but he wont have any races this year – hes looking to start them in January (real winter!). The first thetford race Im pretty sure I cant do (ill have a less than a month old baby indoors – im guessing bike leave will be cancelled!) but will be looking to do the others, just a pain getting there…
bigdawgFree Memberid be interested in meeting up for rides – time allowing Ive got another sprog about to make an appearance, but I can usually do sunday mornings – the earlier the better – and I can prob get some other guys (newer riders/racers) out as well…
bigdawgFree MemberI think the cambridge race is part of another race series though… My only wish is that theyd been clearer on the website as to how points were calculated and what rounds qualify…
bigdawgFree Memberi have no idea tbh..
also do you know if the eastern region results are anything to do with ms&g or are they seperate? There was no way I could get to that cambridge round…
bigdawgFree Memberthats the trouble though – the top senior riders in theory should have hammered the vets but there just wasnt the quality of rider there that I expected – but saying that some of the vets in the 2 hour races are pretty much what used to be called expert/pro racers – we had Alex Dowsett racing at danbury whos a pro time trialist (seventh inthe worlds last week)
bigdawgFree Memberwell to be honest I cant ever recall people taking 1st in series and in their own catagories, as in theory the virtually the same people would be on the podiums…
bigdawgFree Memberno they bought this up at codham when one of the vets threw his toys out the pram (he wanted 1st & 2nd I think!) – according to the bcf rule book if you have series points these supercede other points (ie vets, grand vets or junior) and only the overall series points count towards final results.
Which is why Ive been catapulted into 2nd (instead of 4th) place so I love british cycling fed at the moment – its a good rule…
bigdawgFree MemberThanks to the technophobic, moronic, incompetent buffoons at Waterstones who are singlehandedly crippling the UK industry (and then complaining about it), there is no easy way to buy cheap books in the UK. There is, however, a workable solution
its called amazon – if youre into dan brown thats a fiver, wait a couple of weeks and all new titles can be had for less than that…
bigdawgFree Membergo to the MS&Gs news blog and more accurate results are up – Ive gone backwards!! Also a 1000 and so pics – all sideways! Some good pics of me but I dont think they do digital versions..
Canada heights motox course that brings back nasty memories – getting to the top of the climb and starting to slide back down in slimey mud that was one of only three Ive ever just got off my bike and stopped (and I think that was in preriding it!!)
bigdawgFree Memberwe used to do it at the end of every ride – ''back in the day''! But I was 12 years younger then…
bigdawgFree MemberIll dig out the emails I had and send them over to you (prob tomorow morning now Im beginning to feel very sleepy!)
No Im not part of that group just me and a friend go over there around 7ish (we leave shoebury around 6.15) and normally do a couple of laps – tried to do the hill opposite leigh station last week (up the side ofthe steps) was about 10 metres from the top before old age set in!!)
bigdawgFree Membertinsy how local are you – Im in shoebury – normally go riding over the downs early saturday.
Also the other thing about the olympic thing is the course is being designed by a downhill and 4x course designer – this will be his 1st attempt at xc!!!
bigdawgFree Memberhadleigh could be used any day of the week to race on and there are umpteen possibilities for good courses – what theyre going to use for the mtb course is going to be a massive embarrasment, at the present time all they are using is the sally army field and castle hill. they were supposed to be running a test race this year as next year they'll have to run a nps series race there s in 2011 they have to hold an international race there. If they dont they pretty much forfeit the right to holds the race there and the olympic bods can go elsewhere… Im not sure the council realised this before they paid for, sorry applied to have, the race there.
Danbury would be good, god forbid they decide to use the muddy one in winter – if that is listed im buying a pair of wellies and running round it itll be quicker… 😀
I was just saying on another forum they used to have a winter series in essex, gloucester park was used, the big park in brentwood was used and they were going to use the motox track at lakeside, but that was cancelled… Could alwway go back to langdon hills, itll be a bit more slippy on the roots but other than that itll be dry…
bigdawgFree Memberdont understand why they were stopped at under the 2 hours – I went through at around 1:58 and went out for another lap… One of those guys is going to be a bit peed off if he could have got another lap in (and poss beaten me…!)
bigdawgFree Memberthe results are very preliminary (ie not really that accurate as some ofthe 2hr riders are listed under 1hr!!) so id wait for hte website results.
Chains – they didnt happen to mention any possible venues for a winter series did they??
bigdawgFree Memberfor the first hour and 40ish minutes I was flying it was only on the last two laps I was 'struggling' on the two short hills, well I say struggling I was still overtaking people so obviously not struggling as much as others…
I love this place though, used to ride here every weekend when I lived on Canvey and always did well here in the races back in the 90's.
The track used to be run the other way round which was a much faster course.
Tinsey wasnt you I was chatting to before the race was it – guy in a red top didnt have time to preride the course…??!
bigdawgFree Member2 hours – last person to do 7 laps – i actually thought I had another one to do after that so was taking it easy on lap 7!!! 22nd overall and 6th in vets… Should do quite well in the series overall now – keep checking to see if the results have been updated…
how bout you…
bigdawgFree Memberoh well looks like you missed me…. Ill console myself in thinking I was going just too fast for your camera!!
How do you get to one uphill, did you miss the one right at the start and the one over the back somehow..??!
bigdawgFree Memberexcellent Ill have a nose through lunchtime to see if im in any…
love that place for racing, could do it every weekend…
bigdawgFree MemberEdinburgh I tried last week out of stock – the others ill start calling…
Ridgeback may have to be an option at the rate Im going but the seat of the hotwalk matches his crash helmet… 😀
bizarre and a bit annoying they dont have a brake though…
