my experience:

55k in debt (serviced without fail till i lost my job), have no assets – got loads of hassle from collectors…

went bankrupt

All the hastle stopped – discharged in 5 months – getting my life sorted now and don’t owe a penny for the first time in 20 years!

Consider bankrupcy only if the debt is significant… and don’t get any credit EVER again.

Happened to me when trying to send a few quid – more than paypal was happy with considering they take it from your bank a few days later I guess!

Had to use my card through paypal.

Not sure what the limit is before this kicks in???

The engine is the same as the one’s in the avensis – I had 3 of those as company cars since the ‘new’ shape stated…

Good, solid, economical, reliable – all of mine had done 140k + when they went back with little trouble…
The MPG was good too – even the 180bhp 2.2 deisel estate retured 45mpg ave and I tend to ‘put the foot down’ a bit…

Now got a volvo v70 2l deisel – 38 mpg on a good day and if I put my foot down…. well i can see why it’s got a huge fuel tank… 😯

for what its worth: buy it, you won’t love it, it will just work…

One of my riding buddies turned up in some gaitors over his normal spd boots a couple of weeks back – he had warm, dry legs and feet! Been looking at neoprene ones online….just to reduce the ‘baggyness’…

Great place to walk dogs from! It is, however, totally aimed at the tourist market and has tourist prices. Not so great for us locals.

As MrsPoddy said – the local horsey types do think no one else should be on the forest, but it is possible to ride some quite good stuff in the area – if you know where to look!

I live near 2 LBS’s – 1 has five shops ‘locally’ the other is a bloke and sometimes a mate helping him out.

I fully support the second – helpful and knowledgeable – they both offer the same discount due to my club membership.

The thing is….. do you choose to support a bloke who loves cycling and tries to make a small living from it, or a chain / online retailer who doesn’t care if you come back….. I, personnaly am torn!

I live on a fixed income of not very much (ta bankers 😈 ) so have to be very careful, but was self employed so know the facts.

If I owned a bike shop now, I would look for those 200 spokes – it’s money and would be profit – thats good 😆

Had 60 liters delivered yesterday 😯 and I can still type 😉

I had it as a teenager (some time back now!) and due the the slow progress made during the recovery, found myself going from good sprinter to running long races 3k etc…

My running coach just kept sending out jogging gently round the track as soon as I was strong enough. Not straining any part of my body but just keeping moving – it was boring!

Then I got on a bike to help the stamina and boredom – and really liked it – 20 years later I never run and rides loads 😀

As far as time – don’t look to to to much in the next 3 months… sorry

I want a bone – broken in 2 on my shoulder where I broke my collar bone 😀

Not been brave enough yet though!!

My neighbours are not so good…. They have never forgiven me for providing the proof needed for the insurance fraud they commited 😯

My payout changed my life 2 years back – went from job I hated to doing what I want – and riding lots 😆

Last month I came home to find a pallet delivery wagon off loading a pallet of cider onto my drive 😯 Yes I had ordered it – but the driver was going to leave 48 2ltr bottles of Thatchers Gold – wrapped in clear plastic – on a pallet, on my drive with no signature…

Reminds me – must order some more…. 😉

And, from my experience, what you spend on the bits you will recoup by not buying any razor blades 😆
