my laptop is windows vista home premium but my desktop is windows xp service pack 2 or 3??

So my dongle provides a secure connection then?

If i copy my email options off the desktop and add them to my laptop , should that do it email wise?

I will in future possibly be after getting a wireless router for my cable connection as it will be faster than my dongle at home, although to be fair the dongle seems to work well with reasonable speed, certainly quicker than our wireless work pc.

I use Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25 all year round for everything, more than happy with them, although price can be dubious but they wear well.

I love the idea of wood burners , especially as i have access to tonnes of dead wood at work.

My query is i don't have a chimney, i am end of terrace and my lounge has a long wall that is the end of the house , we have a gap of a metre or so between us and the next house. Is it possible to have a burner then?

CliveA, i agree, however the rush hour is mainly people travelling to work through our village because they can't be arsed going on the bypass around us as there is usually a traffic jam as it ends in a large roundabout which grinds to a halt as it is a bottleneck, this has a knock on effect on the road through our village and causes jams all the way back to us , utter madness.

I wish they would restrict traffic speed to 20mph along the outside of the school as they have done in the "urban" school 5 miles away. I'd love my kids and more kids to bike, walk or as an alternative scoot (those push along things). To be fair though our school has invested in a nice big attractive bike shelter. Also recently they launched an incentive to walk to school via a token given if walking and those with the most tokens were rewarded if my memory serves me.

"Never, never, never, never buy a Renault, biggest pile of cr*p ever. Had a Clio and a Scenic at the same time, both cost us a fortune to keep on the road, sheared drive shafts, airbags going off by themselves, springs constantly breaking, all sorts of things failing that should have outlasted the life of the car and and don't forget the Clio bonnets openning at 70 mph. And Renault customer service, total joke."

No probs with ours?? Horses for courses though.

Many folk do actually HAVE to drive their kids to school as its straight off to work for them after dropping off, probably even more necessary as its a rural school. My wife drops our 2 off then goes straight to work 8 miles away then picks them up on the way back.

Not all car users are pampered parents that can't be arsed walking, though i agree some are. Biking to school has its own problems in that its usually rush hour so loads of traffic, the paths are packed with parents/kids as well not ideal for young kids only 5-9 yrs old really is it?

I would give my right arm to move up to Scotland (not city though, although i was born in Glasgow), lived in England since a year or so old, as has most of my relatives now.

Going on hols next year to Tulloch Farm just down the road from Roybridge, fantastic part of the world, i may even sneak my bike onto the car without her knowing and have a cheeky run at Nevis Range or over at Laggan….shooosh.

The only thing stopping me uproot my family is work, if i could find something similar to what i do , i would be there like a shot.

I tell ALL canvassers and door step callers to go forth and multiply.

If i want something i will sort it out myself.

I even have a sticker in the window right next to the front door saying we do not buy at the oor but it doesn't seem to stop them.

I see all canvassers be it doorstep or telephone as an invasion of privacy.

    Should be laws against them.

Oh and those annoying bags that come through at least 2-3 times a month for unwanted clothes etc grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Real.

I only paid £15 for my 6ft Nordman, but i'm lucky that my mate works for a major xmas tree importer.

Apparently the cost to the farm, street, layby traders is around the £20 mark for starters.

The cost has gone up due to our euro friends not planting as many, which has a knock on supply demand effect. Probably done deliberately???

what about one of those rubber boot liners that have a raised lip around the edge?

ffs, trainee's should'nt be driving around unsupervised anyhow?.

damage is damage, pay up. If it was yours or other management's car/property i doubt there would be so much indecision regards the handling of the whole event.
