I have fitted 120mm Recons on mine……the bumph on On One web site seems to suggest that it was ideal with 120mm, but it is a 456 so is ok up to 140mm i would imagine and 100mm. Personal choice i would say.

I am about to finish mine this week hopefully…woohoo.

Take off chain if needed then i use aviation fuel to clean mine (basically kerosene) put chain in a jar or similar leave to soak and agitate if required , works better than any de-greaser i know. Then wipe down and lube. Makes for a very shiny chain.

Hora…..you speak words of wisdom. I shall copy and print your comment as evidence when the wife find's a new set of nobby's hidden in the garage

Seriously though your probably right, stick with what i like and to be fair they are a lot cheaper than i paid last year for a set for my susser.

    Thanks for the coments folks.

    Lol at Spence.

Ok it can be more than sometimes muddy…..but i dont venture out too much in yukky conditions  wanted a general all rounder i dont do "mud" tyres.

I bloody hate looking for tyres…..especially as i'm a tight wad andget caught up in all the bumph the tyre manufacturers spout about their various stuff.

5 10's for me, but they are really too much money and a bit ott for local xc .

Currently dabbling with spd's…….though it is a bit love / hate with them.

I need a tyre that will be used mainly only local, stuff in woods or bridleways/tracks, mainly loamy (i guess) sometimes a tad muddy but i'm a bit of a fairweather rider. Like 2.2 as a general size.

    Only had experience of

    WTB Motoraptors (didn't like)

Kenda Nevegals- Good but really draggy

Schwalbe Nobby Nics- love them but too pricey i reckon

Another example of the MOT test station drumming up work.

I found a local MOT test station that does not carry out any work or reccommend anyone, they only do MOT's. Car has passed 2 years in a row and the wife's car as well, prior to that they both always seemed to have a fault that the garage could sort for suitable funds…..yeah right.

I reckon all MOT's should be carried out by MOT only places, save us all unecessary bills.

it'll be royal mail at fault. Where i live posties out in force, however i have had no mail for 3 days in a row now, that is unusual as i always get mail everyday (mostly bills+junk). I reckon they are over stretched and only delivering parcels and not letters. Never gone 3 days with no mail.

I like Top Gear, as mentioned it just needs a re-vamp like it got 8 yrs or so ago that made it the hit it is, ok its a bit too samey now but everything has a shelf life surely.

Time for the shows boffins to come up with a newer format now me thinks.

Real shame if it goes, its just simple entertainment, all be it a bit silly sometimes but still better to watch than many of the other sunday evening offerings.

Shakey….the speed of the dongle is surprisingly good so far, its with 3 so i guess i will have to put in a new smtp, will that involve a phone call to 3 as thier customer service is usually pants.

Good luck with this and your court case.

I come from an Army family my grandfather in WW2 lost his leg in El Alamein , my uncle was killed in the early 70's in an explosion that destroyed his land rover, my father also served for a number of years in R.Sigs. I fully endorse and support anything to do with our Armed forces and the great job they do in very difficult conditions with quite dubious support.

Look forward to supporting this cause. Best of luck!!!!

Uplink….did all that in the first place, then ran into a brick wall. Looks like its a techy phone call then.

    Thanks though.

I connect my laptop via my dongle (love that word lol)

On my desktop it is a Virgin cable modem.

It is a pop3 account on outlook express on the desktop.

On the laptop it is windows mail???

When transferring settings to the laptop it does come up as a POP3 thing.

    Lost from there :-(

Land Rover Discovery…..very very versatile, on road off road and anything inbetween. Comfortable too and if your handy with a spanner servicing is rather cheap :-)

They were ok in the wet, didn't seem to cause my wife any trouble. Fastest she drove was 60-70 mph on a few journies and she didn't say there were any probs at all, they will be a bit nosier than "normal" tyres but all AT type tyres are.

The UHP is more road biased, the tread is quite sporty and not very deep in real life. I used Cooper Discoverer S/T on my Disco (bit more off road biased) and the other half used on her Freelander some Goodyear Wrangler ATR which had good road manners and were very capable off road.

Vrapan- that was my concern, i do a lot of internet banking and purchasing etc. Not sure of the security of a dongle connection.

Laptop came with a trial of McAfee but that has finished .

Stonr – Niether am i lol.

Basically all i wanted to do was have mobile broadband AND replace the aging desktop we have at home.SWMBO doesn't like PC in the corner of our bedroom anymore…..apparently technology has provided an alternative in the form of laptops lol.

Firstly i was concerned/confused about the security of my connection via dongle. Not desperately concerned about using the desktop programs or anything , just wanted to keep the docs and pics saved on it.
