Have you been filling the system with fresh water often? You may have leak, usually Pressure Relief Valve which should get changed with expansion vessel.

XT ice tech rotors and pads are THE FIRST BRAKES THAT WORK for me.
180mm rotors and it seriously is the first time I have felt like they go from speed to taking speed off with loads of feel.
Ok so I weigh 118kgs or 17.5 stone and prefer going downhill…
Previous brakes were old 4pot XTs
Had some hope M4s with 205 rotor on the front, they were good but not brilliant.
These new XTs are truly amazing.

Hilux would be my first choice
BUT…
Ford Ranger/Mazda B series is a far nicer vehicle to drive (it is still a leaf sprung work horse not a BMW) and you can pick them up for a song.
The Mazda engines, which appear in the Fords, have a reputation not much worse than Toyota.
Well worth a look.
Isuzu worth a look. Work with a guy whose Mrs drives one as her car, their family love it!

Potterton used to offer a repair service. It was expensive but included parts and years warranty. Not sure if they still do it but well worth a call.
Diverter valve was excessive as a diaphragm should have done the trick but I can’t diagnose the problem without seeing the boiler.
I would have charged about £220 for a full diverter valve fitted.. If that was the problem.

I can fit a new boiler for you in the new year, sorry, not much help now.

I live and work around Greater London, if I did 50 miles in that in that time I’d be chuffed.

If you have to have that particular car get the Cam belt changed by someone you trust.
You could keep shopping. A bargain always comes up.

It wasn’t being cut up that sent me into a rage but himafter swerving behind pretend ramming. Undertaking swerving in front of me and hitting the brakes. You get the picture.
In that moment I kicked every car that has ever cut me up on or off the bike! And for every fellow cyclist, motorist or pedstrian I have seen being cut up.

700quid is not a lot.
I’ve just seen a bmw for £41k outside a dealer, it’s a 2 litre diesel.
It’ll be worth half that in 4 or 5 years.
