    Mazda 5 mpv.
Sadly the most powerful engined, sporty low profile tyres is also an mpv!
It is brilliant with the sliding doors in tight car parks.
Nice car too drive with decent stuff in it.
Mrs is happy to get work.
    Some great camping trips ticket!
Petrol engine is quiet and refined (I drive a van so most things are).
    Only 1 BIG PROBLEM!
IT CAN’T TAKE A BOOT MOUNTED BIKE RACK!!!
I have a brilliant Exodus boot rack from Halfords and its been on everything but the Mazdas boot spoiler and plastic boot panel have rendered it useless.
Fog lamp is in the middle of the rear bumper so no tow ball option.
Only option is is roof mounted bike racks, but now I gotta fork out for all that.
I’m not a fan of rooftop stuff after a mate change the shape of his rare Kona Titanium beauty under a low bridge, his car came off worse!!
    Thats my only niggle.
    A great car.

    Looks good, thanks chaps.
Hopefully I’m not asleep next year,
But I will do the next best thing and see if they need any volunteers on the 27th.

Check out DJ BBQ on food tube for some great recipes.
Scotch bonnet chillis, bacon and blue cheese burgers, you will never buy a gourmet burger ever again.
Wood chips to smoke your own ribs as bigblackshed said, take it easy.
    Pork shoulder is awesome.
    Get a food thermometer.
    Oh and WEBER recipe book.

Try cheese, onion and tomato toasties on a dying fire, epic for lunch the next day.

    +1 Mindfulness

Post traumatic stress disorder is about as depressing and stressful as it sounds
I went through a brilliant therapy through the NHS with a couple of amazing psychiatrist ‘s.
We did Cognative behavioural therapy the bulk of which was being mindful of your immediate surroundings.
    Basic stuff like breathing.
Fast forward a few years and my gets booked off work with severe depression.
She’s finishing up with a psycologist who has reintroduced her to mindfulness.
Again back to basics with breathing being one of the exercises, she now doesn’t wake up at 2am and worry but wakes up at 2am, practises breathing and before is sound asleep.

You can find this stuff on you tube.

    All the best!

I have struggled with Vodafone but in there defence they have often refunded some money.
Think I’ve had 2-3 refunds over the last few years.

    +1 Skoda Octavia.
6’4″ and i don’t need to put the seat all the way back.
Massive boot I think second to E-class estate which is an aircraft carrier.
Well built, we had 5 years trouble free driving.
1.9 diesel was a great motor.
Now in a Mazda 5 MPV which is no bigger inside but the sliding doors and rear seat setup is awesome.

Ha ha, just went out on road bike and did some hill climbs and got a puncture.
    But guess what…
    I still really enjoyed myself.
    Weather is nice.
    It’s a quiet-ish road.
And I’d still rather be out on my bike, mountain bike or road, than doing almost anything else.
And I greeted a mountain biker just to make a point

I hope you score epic waves! I heard the Outer Hebrides goes off!!!

I Bought a package from Bodyboard HQ a few years ago.
I grew up worshipping Mike Stewart so it was a no brainer to go for one of his boards, amazingly in my size now.
I’m tall and always struggled as a kid with limited sizes till I got a proper surfboard.
I have a pair of Churchill swim fins which I use at the local freedive training session but are brilliant for bodyboarding.
I found the guys in the shop really helpful on the phone asking my height and weight etc.
They fitted the leash and posted it pronto with a half decent board bag.

    TOO SWEET!
    Mashed one gearbox, electronic problems.
Bits fall off the thing like an old leper…
    But the engine is sweet!

I installed a wood burner for friends in epsom. It’s awesome.
Heating and hot water means they won’t be spending any money on gas ever!!!!
    New build insulation everywhere.
    I’m in Epsom.

Happy to talk on the phone.
Got chimney sweep/installer in book ham.

A couple of weeks ago 6 of us were out for 3hours, at the end the only 2 lights still working were the cheap cree’s
I did the last 3miles on the wheel of one of the guys wheels and I was able to figure out where I was going, we tried him following me but I cast a shadow so big I thought Batman would’ve mistaken it for his call.
I also had a stack of personal records on strava cos I was scared of being dropped.
Now all of us have the Crees and the 2 that had them bought another set each.
You can’t go wrong for that price, the helmet mount is a real faf but does the job.

    We got a 1.9tdi, 55mpg with a massive boot!
It’s the wife’s car and she likes it.
I think it’s great round the lanes here.
Did I mention the boot is massive!

    How “4×4” do you need.
    Jimny’s are cool.
Nissan Terrano or Ford Maverick SWB.
Rav4 or Subaru forester have 4wd but no low range gear box etc.

Avoid main dealers, our local skoda dealer was useless.
Find a recomended VW specialist near you and all should be well.
Even Jeremy Clarkson (who bought a bicycle, aparantly) gave the Octavia a big thumbs up in top gear magazine a few years ago.

Try a little heat, VERY CAREFULLY with an electric paint stripper or propane gas gun.
Don’t melt or try to nuke just warm it up slowly get a nice grip on the seat post and give it a few forceful twists.

Or pay some else to do it.

Bought a Briggs & Straton something off a mate and petrol strimmer for £100.
Little rusty but both motors work well.
We have a large rear garden and I find it therapeutic with massive headphones and rage against the machine on iPod.
Might try some Jackie Wilson next week…
