You gotta get down to get up.
Nice and low into the bottom of the jump, you know bend your arms and legs and straighten up on the up.

    Do something totally different.
    Learn an instrument.
    Go scuba diving.
    Indoor climbing.
    Soup kitchen for the homeless.
Last year and the year before I really couldn’t be bothered either i got into swimming.
Got into regular road rides with a great bunch and now I can’t get enough of it.
Really hope the trails dry up soon.

Get hold of Pulp Traction and marvel at Brett Tippee and Richey Schley Decsending real steep stuff on ancient Stumpjumpers and cantilever brakes.
Your modern will ride a million times better than those ‘classics’ and your local trail won’t be anywhere near as steep.

I picked up a Cannondale CAAD8 of ebay for £200 last winter.
It’s a brilliant bike even with the cheap saddle and everything.
Broke a spoke in rear wheel 2 weeks ago, ordering new wheel set this weekend from wiggle or CRC £70.
I will upgrade group set as soon as I can scrape a couple of hundred quid together.
But yeah, it’s a great frame.

Any of the bikes recommended above, my boy rode a Hotrock for 2 years then onto a 20″ wheeled bike.
I bought a cheap bike £20 quid bike on ebay for a cousin who was visiting for a few weeks and turned the yard into a race track.

Check the batteries on the room room stat, last job I visited the actuator stayed in open position allowing heat through when batteries were fading.
Has the manifold been balanced? Flow rates in the spy glass need to be equal.

Still got my Kona Cowan, the 1st orange bunch with sliding drop out and massive stays.
I would’ve ridden it till Dirt Mag put a Stanton Slackline in their Dirt 100.
If you can test ride any Stanton I’m pretty sure you’ll never bother with a bouncer.

At 17 stone I went through frames, back wheels and then bushings on FS.
Both bikes have been put together for reliability.
Cowan is now a single speed winter hack.

I’d love a Full suspension but it’d have 180mm + travel and I’d bore my family with trips to the Alps.

I had both shoulders dislocated in a freak accident. One need a bone graft on the humerus under pinned with screws. 9 months later I struggled to complete one length of a 25meter swimming pool.6 months after that I managed 3kilometers at open water venue with an impressive time.

I fitted an ideal logic plus Nice boiler, nice price.
I have been fitting vaillant and Worcester for the last 7 years both are good.
No call backs to any Vaillant
Worcester had a couple of issues but all sorted next working day.
Try getting your old boiler fixed 1st.

I Went for a mountain bike ride with a couple of roadies a few weeks back, part of the conversion went along the lines of clothing,
Pointing at my baggy shorts one of them says, “Yeah, I get the whole Grunge thing but after a while those things chafe up badly.”
    Grunge thing??????
That’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to me in about 20 years.

If religion disappeared you’d just pick on roadies more.
What worthwhile causes will you pour your time and effort into Dobbo?

My Basic Vito 109 has just clocked 140000 miles.
It’s quiet and smooth for a van, good mpg and fast as it needs to be with great brakes.
It will do 100 even with a ton of stuff in the back.
    The stereo is brilliant!
I am sure you will get on.
My old neighbour had Vito Extralong Dualiner 122 with a zillion miles on it which he absolutely loved.
Don’t worry about 5th Gear’s Vito/T5 shoot out! You won’t be taking it on a track although Evo magazine were happy to throw their Vito Dual Sport X (I’ll have mine in metallic grey please) round the Nurburgring.
I had a VW T5, it was very good at everything and nice to drive when VW weren’t replacing “blown everything”. I even liked they’re Caddy courtesy van which I got very familiar with.
A couple of mates had T5’s which they loved but both had expensive garage bills, nothing like any French vans though!

Brand new Vito has just been released, whether it has any impact on used prices on vans I’m not sure but they do look nice in the photos with all sorts of drive options, even a 4 wheel drive.

Sorry, I’m a van bore. Just don’t get me started about my old Toyotas.

Last year I bought a 09 plate Merc Vito with 134K on the clock for £5500.
A few small issues but for the money it’s brilliant!
Ex-lease company means it was serviced at required intervals.
Had a new gear box a couple of years ago according to history.
    Drives nicely, thumping stereo.
Bargains are out there but so is a lot if chaff.

+1 for good accountant, they will advise you to go sole trader or limited etc.
I have been happy with Barclays business account, occasionally they try sell you stuff but they have loads of tips and are always helpful.
DON’T GET A CREDIT ACCOUNT WITH ANY SUPPLIER!!!!
Unless your good at managing it, stuff adds up quickly.
Get full payment for all material up front.
Avoid delayed payments. Get paid on completion our at the end of the week if its a big job.
Keep money aside for the tax man!
Pay yourself a reasonable salary and stick to it.
As long you enjoy your skill you should fly.

Both my boys loved the balance bike but they both started on a plastic 3 wheel motorbikes that were completely finished before moving onto the balance bike.
Had to “sell” it to eldest pointing out it’s a dolphin bike (one of the stickers on it), and he walked it for sometime.
The little one couldn’t wait to get on it and at one point was quicker than his big brother on a pedal bike.
Before his 3rd birthday he has ridden a couple of pump tracks and owns (not quite) the local skateparks.
Each kid is different. One day it just clicks and then they’re inseparable.

In South Africa you can still find rust free Ford Cortina pick ups with Essex 3litre V6 motors in, which sound beautiful.
Epic drift cars before drifting was invented.
Dodgy ’80 brakes mean you need to plan your stops.

    1st child was brilliant,
2 weeks bed and breakfast in Dorset.
    5weeks short holiday in Brugge.
He fitted in with us and we can take him anywhere.
2nd child complete nightmare, happy with nothing.
Loudest scream in the world, but falls asleep in moving car, many midnight drives.
    But I wouldn’t change anything.
Can’t wait to get home and see them.

I’m hoping to enter my 1st Enduro in October.
    Veteran Sport catagory for me.
I also raced downhill a long, long time ago.
The race is scary enough, its the 1st time I will be spending 2days away from my wife and kids since i can remember that has me really nervous.
Will I Starve, freeze, loose things or have complete withdrawl symptoms from my coffee machine while I head out into the deep unkown without the guidance of better half..
Only one way to find out.

I’m a self employed central heating service engineer,
I’d prefer it if you all give your heating a little run now because in October it gets a bit manic when all your heating problems you thought you’d leave till it gets cold manifest on the same day and your only heat source is the Mrs rising temperature cos “that’s your department!!!”

Freediving. Joined a local group for some pool sessions which was very relaxing.
Next I need to do a foundation course and open water course.

Been some time since I played ultimate frisbee, touch rugby or any cricket.
