Very sad day, one of the voices of my childhood. From watching internationals in the rugby club on Saturday afternoons after mini rugby sessions in the morning.
A true gent and a proud Scot and a gentleman.

    Rest in peace Bill.

I always like it when the cheap skates have to have an explaination at the bottom of the plate, usually where the car garage details would have been…..sad!

Customer apathy, although if they keep trying to buy customers through new business and don't retain renewals, they'll go bust! Or need drastic changes to their business model, like not including cover for bikes, higher excesses etc…

I doubt that M&S will offer you cover as you're in a rented room, it'll be the same response from most standard insurers.
You could ask your landlady to add them on to her policy and you pay the difference or you may have to get specific bike insurance.

I'd say no. Dunbells aren't that great, the ability to be 'off' in terms of the correct movement is very high.

Like others have suggested, training using his own body weight for resistance is probably best. Plenty of time for weights.

Cycle training, its a combination of endurance and strength in his legs. Longer rides and sprint interval work. Yoga or something similar would be great for his core muscle development and should help posture etc.

Hope he does well, great to hear about committed kids willing to work hard.

In my opinion, I'd go for an old Omega disel estate (BMW engine) or a Ford Scorpio, both well equipped cars and cheap enough to run/service yourself.

Use them until they break/become too costly to repair then start again.

Edit – I got married in a kilt like that I just had a plain black leather sporran understated.

Do it, no question about it, they are worth their weight in gold. Both my boys used ours. Both riding properly before their fourth birthdays.

YG – that's good, my lad has 4 years to save up!! We were out on the trails on Friday in the snow, being able to ride with your kids is priceless.

I'm currently trying to build a half decent extra small 26" wheel for him, be good to get him off his heavy old 24" Giant.

    Love the wee SantaCruz!

Yeti Guy, how old is your son, my lad's just seen this and now wants a SantaCruz just like that one!

I've told him if he saves his pocket money till he's as old as the lad in the picture he'll have enough!

Interesting one this, I'm sure that until recently the insurance company would have said no but I'm sure I read an article about this in the last couple of weeks…..I'll try and find it.

Laughing at that Kuco, even as a 'big bloke' myself, I've done exactly the same thing and never seen the rider in front ever again!

Kuco – you're right but on the other hand my skinny 12stone brother in law couldn't run the length of himself and carries very little fat.

    Jedi,
Daz is right,Using a personal vehicle you can claim the £0.40 for the first 10,000 miles the it drops to £0.25, I've run it this way for the last couple of companies that I've worked for.
If you cover a decent mileage then it can pay off, I averaged 40,000 miles a year so could claim £11,500 back to cover the cost of fuel, insurance and the purchase of the car. I bought a £10,500 car about 4 years ago. I easily covered the purchase and running costs, the car's still in decent nick and I'm quids in.

You need to consider all the impact financially, cash flow etc..

Rode the Dragon last year on a Compact set up, you'll be fine. I didn't need any lower gears than I had.

Oh, never pushed/walked on the Dragon and I'm far from a roadie!

Edit – I too live in the flatlands of Norfolk so don't really have any serious hills to train on.

I have a 2nd interview on Thursday but it's for a job that pays £15000 less than my last one! 😯

Sounds like a good job and a decent company though….

Was made redundant at the end of November, need to try and get sorted out soon.
Thankfully everyone will be back at work tomorrow and I can get down to some serious job hunting. The last couple of weeks have dragged by!

The molecules are larger and don't escape. They don't react as much to changes in temperature.

Yep my youngest started racing at 4 on a Redline micro mini 18 inch wheeled bike. If the Olympic site is near you then you can't be far from the Dagenham track, get down there and watch the kids race! I own a 24" cruiser and race 40 plus on it, don't be fooled though it's one of the toughest age groups out. Great fun though! Do it people will laugh at you on a kids bike, ignore them, you're a rad dude on a BMX!

Those Giant frames do look pretty small. I'll do a bit of digging on the net.
