Its a nylon string guitar and purely for my own benefits. I do sometimes perform and sometimes just want to sit at home in quiet but if I can get a mic on it then its just more versatile.

DIY is no problem for me, Im pretty confident and everything is measure ten times, then once more, get someone to check it, measure again, then slowly drill, stop just before I do, measure then go for it. I’ve added a strap and strap ‘Button?’ to it and it worked fine. 8)

Do a fair bit of Pest Control with an air rifle and also have an air pistol for targets etc. I also do quite a bit of clay shooting with my fathers over and under but once my shotgun certificate has gone through i’ll be off shooting grouse in the dales 🙂 At the moment though only beating.

I got a flip case for my Sony Ericsson Vivaz and with a few cable ties attached it to my helmet. The image shaking isn’t that much of a problem if the actual camera is securely attached and the helmet fitted well. If you have a decent phone camera or small video camera you’d be better off making some sort of contraption for it.

For getting helmet cameras to rent I think it’s a great idea. I know I’d definitely get one or two for the day and buy the card afterwards and I think a lot of other people would as well.

I fail to see how not being a sad arse sitting inside playing on the computer learning how the stupid machine works has any indication on my capabilities.

((I think its a large group of middle aged men who should actually be out riding bikes or doing something more productive who should be reviewing their capabilities, not a young lad who’s interested in certain areas and when he tries to pursue gets a lot of negative feedback and some comments that really aren’t supporting at all. From a simple question, (that no-one has actually answered) some people have been helpful but a large majority seem to be out to make things difficult. I just don’t get the problem))

And druidh, how do you know my mum?

i never said it was to help me get on a course…… I said the more experience I can get the better, nothing about helping me get on a course. Experience for my sake not Mr X who is interviewing me

The point isn’t to go a shout it out loud to people, its for my personal interest and curiosity. If I get an interview it wont be, Hi, I’m George, I stick needles in my Mother. 🙄

-She thinks 24 gauge but it was 25 years ago so she’s not 100% sure.
-The grades should be achievable with the correct amount of work put in.
-Communication with people is pretty good but I live 5 minutes walk away from a hospice so volunteer work is there and will definitely be done.
-Yes I understand it can be dangerous, yes I understand things can go wrong but thats just a risk my mother is willing to take, unlike a lot of people on here, she does actually trust me and my judgement

So, its fine for a medical student to learn how to do it but not for me? That doesn’t make much sense ❓ I understand the basics of anatomy, physiology etc. and I’m not going to go jabbing away. Common sense is present me, (even if its often put to one side)

its not particularly because it will mean anything for university etc. just I want to know and I can learn so why not? Its more for the sake of knowing than anything else

That’s what spurred me on to do 50 miles instead of 26. Everyone said how difficult it’d be and how much pain I’d be in but afterwards, I ached for 4 days and was fine. How much different can 50 be if 26 was like it was. Not easy but no where near as hard as people said it would be

the way I see it is once your’e dead your’e dead. Your’e just a lump of meat slowly rotting away. The only thing that lives on is other peoples memories of you so if she committed suicide in the house, its no different to a dog dying or a rabbit being gutted in the kitchen etc. Whats happened has happened and there’s no spiritual stuff going on like in that whatsit house of horror thingy.

It just a house, go for it.

even more useless, at schools all over England today, students decided to walk out at 11pm for a mixture of “free university”, “reduced university fees” and “EMA’s being brought back”. They set of at 11 around the school grounds and came back in at 12 for dinner. 🙄

when I asked why they didn’t just b*gger of home, they said they weren’t aloud. Half of them had no idea what they were wanting and kept changing the chants. I still can’t see how disrupting a school for an hour can make any difference to the way the government deals with tuition fees.

I of course, stayed inside where it was warm 8)

he could always build one up from second hand parts. I’d recommend an on-one frame and from there see what you can get for the cash. Mix old and new to keep to budget. I did it for about £800 and it’s turned out ace. I got the summer season

Ski. Start off by skiing because you can do so much more. Once you get good at skiing maybe mess about on a board for a bit and see if you like it but to be honest, if you have never done either before it won’t matter. There just as hard as each other to learn so take you pick

    Oh yeh Ski’s are “cooler”
