Thanks everyone. Given the small amount that I want to print I’ll probably try the online recommendations.

    Sorry DruidH you’ve lost me.

It was a genuine request for printer recommendations from STWers who like to print their pics.

Not many people that I know get excited by a weekend in Kings Lynn. 😉

I heard it in the car, awful, truly awful. What is he going to try next “Smells Like Teen Spirit”?

Update, following STW advice (This has to be the most stupid thing I have ever done!) I have reported to police.

I have come away from that call feeling slightly more like I am a perp than a victim but I guess there is a process to follow. Tomorrow I have to take my docs to the main stn in Norfolk. If I prove that I was legally on the road, then they will trace and speak with driver.

I have to say that the whole situation does not fill me with confidence. At 2pm I parked my car, at 4pm I returned to find it damaged. I did the right thing by reporting it. But I still feel that to get my car back to the condition it was in at at 2pm it will cost me money. Surely that is not right???

Gramflour flatbreads are pretty good as a substitute.

Like you I was a bread addict but have not had any for a couple of months. Tricky to start with but once you get used to it it’s not so bad. My diarrhoea, bloatedness and skin ailments have all cleared up. Completely. I have also lost weight so i am now at 74kgs.

As I said, gram flour flatbreads are not the real thing but they are a reasonable substitute.

    Good luck.

I’m with Dave. I have a 705 that I plot courses for, using bikehike, I then download them to my Mac. Drag and drop to my Garmin when needed and follow. It all seems to work very well, and has done for the last few years.

Being that i am a bloke, a gadget geek, and like shiney new things, I am thinking of selling the 705 and trying an 800. I have no idea why.

Adjust the bedtime by a few minutes to achieve your work/life balance. Children are very adaptable, no permanent damage will be done!

    Good luck.

    My two’penneth.

To set the scene, I race cx, I weigh 73kg, I’m old school and I’m a self confessed weenie.

Racing. Tubs are great, lower pressures gives better lap times. Simple. The downside is that unless you can afford at least two (3 would be better) sets of wheels and tubs at many races over the course of the season you will be on the wrong tread pattern for the course.

Training, Club Runs, Etc. At some point you will puncture. At that point you will wish you had decided to run clinchers with a spare tube in your pocket. I know this. Yes you can ride 22 miles home on a flat tub. I know this. But would I do it again? No.

in summary, for racing, never more than 2 miles from the race HQ tubs for sure. For anything else clinchers.

I have my once a year bout of man flu, I’m really rather pleased that it has coincided with this weekend. -8 outside and hailing as I type.

I’m not a hater, though I would never have one myself, but …………. I do find it quite funny that every time we have a tattoo thread the supporters talk of “expressing their individuality” and yet so many seek approval for what they are having done. Just an observation.

    Carry on.

I am genuinely amazed by how hard it appears to be for some of you. I’d say the first few days I had a few (sugar based) cravings but since then it really has been easy to say no. I find the food tasty, the cooking enjoyable and the weightless is pretty good too!

In fact I am actually now at the stage where I do not enjoy the cheat days.

I’ve stuck to it, with one tiny exception; my morning coffee. I only have one coffee a day but that one has to have a tiny splash of milk added.

Other than that it has been easy to be honest.

So far I have lost 1st 1lb, I have 5lbs to go. I can not see me changing back after as I just feel so much better for it, not just the weightloss.

    Well done Lee.

I feel pretty much the same as you. Not only pleased about the weightloss but also happy I am no longer having to live with spikes and dips in blood/sugar levels.

Looks interesting, thank you. Do you find that is bright enough on it’s own or does it supplement another light for off-road riding?

    Thanks for the replies.

Budget of £4000. To be honest as much as I would like a Caterham style car an MX5/MR2/type car is as impractical as I can go. I’ll take a look at the S2000 but have a feeling that, along with a Boxster they will blow the budget.

Any MR2 MK3 owners out there?

The other one I had thought of was a classic 944?

    Thoughts anyone?

    Thank’s guys.

I only put about it being old as I was surprised that I can’t find any seller selling anything other than the 105 BB, thought there would still be plenty of Ultegra/DA available at discount prices!

I agree that there are considerable differences between a terrorist attack and a natural disaster but …….. If 9/11 had targetted a business centre in almost any other country in the world would there be as much tv time given over to it? I think not.

Why would you lightly cook a small child?

I spend my life working with offenders, and the most of them are misusing drug. I see no change anytime soon!

My work is rehabilitating offenders outside of prison. There seems to be no shortage of clients and no lack of enthusiasm (from Dave and his mates) for the idea of keeping offenders out of prison.

Win win for me, and I like my job. Goes with out saying the pay is crap.

I’m used to big distances, just not on a ss, hence the question on gearing.

I will be travelling light as I am B&B touring rather than camping.

Thanks again for all the helpful hints,

JCS – because all my other bikes are race bikes with no easy way of carrying kit on, the Langster has mountings for rack and panniers.

I’ll be riding solo, so no problems there.

Anyway I am hoping to average about 15mph over the course of the 500 miles so i don’t think spinning out will present too much of a problem.
