Some nice pics there, particularly like the Contador one.

Thing is though the largest image I can see on your site is 640×400, does it get larger on the Pro acc?

One thing that puts me off Flickr is I haven’t had great customer service from Yahoo in the past……..

Oh, and thanks for taking the time to respond.

Don Simon do you have an acc with them? If so could I take a look to see if it is what I am after?

I’ve just finished my contract with o2. Kept my 3gs and went on their simplicity tariff, £20 pm. Which gives 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited wifi and 500mb of web. Kept the number too.

Seems a good deal to me.

Thanks all, I have ordered a 50 before I posted this thread., though it hasn’t arrived yet.

Tij Tax, sort of thought the same as you, thank you for confirming it, that my old lenses wouldn’t be good for new body. That said, really pleased that my daughter, 15 yo, has asked if she can have my old Canon with lens

Don S, 85mm f1,8, a mate has that lens, maybe I could borrow it before laying out the cash.

I want to be able to do a bit of everything, hence why I didn’t put my main interest in the OP. But I mostly like to do portraits of the homeless whilst out and about with urban decay thrown in as well.

Never likely to do sports shots, not my thing.

Thank you very much for the ideas so far, please keep them coming.

Thanks all, some good suggestions there.

Thing is I already run an annual charity event, I am a qualified welder (or was, a long time ago) and I am rubbish at languages!

I quite like the idea of learning to sea-kayak but I live in Norfolk so it means a lot of travelling to get anywhere worthy of a paddle.

I’m spending a lot of time with my camera lately, maybe I should learn to use that properly (dslr) or learn to use photoshop? Anyone know of any good courses/qualifications?

    Please keep the ideas coming.

Worked today, all day, 2 x prison visits first thing, xmas food drop at crack house, hospital visit to a kid who has overdosed this afternoon. Switch off to the best job I have ever had. Long walk in the snow with the hound to chill. Home to xmas eve with the family.

I do have permission to use it, and I don’t plan on doing anything dodgy at all, but if one of the kids clicks on a non work safe link I don’t want to get the sack!

wwaswas. I do have my own line and router in the house but at weekends/evenings when there might be 4 laptops, a Wii and a PS3 connected to it, it would be god to share the load with the works set-up.

    Hence the question about privacy.

It is just a standard BT router, and I do realise that they could get my history from the ISP (BT) but that sounds like an awful lot of hassle for them to go to without good reason.

It was more if they can just monitor my use without contacting BT?

Being locked in a custody cell with a guy on remand for murder is not the picnic in the park that the Daily Mail might have you believe.

This has got me out the house for several training rides when it would have been easier to stay in.

To be honest I thought you were a bit of a nobber when we corresponded by email re your iphone 4 that you wanted to sell, then you didn’t, then you did, then you didn’t, then you disappeared completely.

    This thread has confirmed it.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I guess I need to pop along to our local dive shop.

Maxray, back to Corfu. I really enjoyed a hard ride in the morning on the bike and then an afternoon relaxing snorkeling in the sun.

I've never really "got" the idea of boycotting books. Just because you buy a book, then read it, does not mean you endorse it's content. And equally not buying a book does not send a message to the author that you do not agree with what is written.

What am I saying? Not sure really, but reading, no matter what, is never a bad thing.

I'll be buying it, not a fan in the slightest but it will be an interesting read for sure.

No contest for me…… grass is often greener….. but your kids are your kids….do the best you can by them…….for you that mean moving away……earning more money……..or staying home. Make your choice, but put your kids first.
