Here in Spain it is Mandarin picking time and is a good year for them.Problem is in the u,k they only want a certain size so probably 75% of what we grow would not meet your criteria.Price this year is quite good at about 25p a kilo!Oranges fetch about the same price but have far more flavour as they are said to be too big.

Just goes to show that it is money that buys league titles.Football has lost contact with the real world and fans are walking away in large numbers.I was a season ticket holder for many years at West Brom and we were getting bigger crowds playing in the championship.Too much money is ruining the game.

We have one but live near Malaga so it is almost expected. One of those things that when you have got one the novelty wears off unless you are a keen swimmer.Quite a lot of maintenance but heated and with a good cover to keep the heat in would probably cost about £30-40 a week to heat in winter.

Before clearing of to live in Spain I used to clean horse rugs for a living.Nikwax has always been the best for waterproofing synthetic fabrics and can be used on breathable fabrics.Anything waterproof needs to be washed in a soap based cleaner as detergents will take out the waterproofing qualities

Found http://www.frombar com today to watch my beloved Albion lose again and they also had La Vuelta with either the international and British Eurosport feeds so might be good for the tour of Britain.Even with Spanish internet seems to work okay.

The airport at Castellon was built with a runway that was not wide enough and so never got a licence for planes to take-off and land. The Top Gear crew were here about 4 weeks ago and filmed loads of stuff on the runway in Gibraltar that never got shown.Corruption at all levels is ruining this country and has possibly gone so far that the country will not recover. Here in Coin where I live we have 32% unemployment and nobody seems to have the slightest idea how to change things for the better. The strange thing is that people can still afford some very nice bikes.

I live in Spain and ride a spanish BH that is the wrong way round.Like others have said you soon get used to it and unlike when braking on a motorcycle you do not get the same fork dive.

The problem is that in the u.k the weather means that a bbq is a rare treat and therefore people do not get to know how long to cook food for.I was at my daughters last week and she asked how I could cook chicken on a barbie without the outside being cremated. Here in Spain I use the barbie probably 5 days a week all year round. The thing is to not overcook-if you have to,cut the meat to see if it is cooked through and do not cook everything at too high a temperature.

Went to collect mine today and no tablets!Guy in the shop got in touch with head office to be told there was an “administrative error” and we would have to get a refund.I wonder what is happening at Halfords asI had tried to get the handlebars for 50p and found that they were not available online. In the shop today I got them for 50p off the shelf.Going back to Spain tomoz and too big for my hand luggage!

I used to clean horse rugs for a living and always used Nikwax products-expensive but worth it.One bit of advice to anyone is that if you are going to wash anything waterproof you will need a soap based product as detergents take out the waterproofing

The BBC coverage was pretty bad though.I remember when Eurosport lost their coverage there was a petition that caused Dorna to continue Eurosport to continue coverage with just the Moto gp race delayed.I have been watching bike racing on Eurosport since 1991 and it is still the best.

Here on the gravel tracks of Andalucia I did all the research and went for Larsen TT’s,my mate went for Crossmarks and whilst mine are sliding about in corners he seems to have grip to spare.

One option is the commute from Spain to work.Keep your place in the U.K to rent out and rent in Spain-about 600 euros a month will get you a 3 bed with pool. You will have to keep away from the brit bars though as they do draw the undesirables and drugs are easily available especially on the coast.A couple of friends here have kids who have joined the Gibraltar regiment and it has sorted them out!

I live near the town of Coin-about 30 mins inland from Malaga and Marbella.Population is about 22,000 of which probably 1,500-2,000 are expats. In the past there were 8 brit bars and now we are down to 2 that are both struggling to stay afloat.Unfortunately they do tend to attract a certain type of clientelle so we use the spanish bars. The coast is no better-too many bars all doing the same thing whilst many hotels have gone all-inclusive.By the time you have paid rent and social security which is a crippling 247 euros a month self employed you are already struggling. To be honest you need enough money to support you here without relying on an income-your 60k will soon go.Almost everyone is struggling here at the moment and no sign of it getting any better which is a shame as it is such a nice place to live.I also have relatives in France and Cyprus and it is the same there.

The forest where Eldorado was set has a course about 3km long.single track and all up and down with tight turns. Most people come from the U.K for the downhill stuff. Here we do mostly gravel track cross country and uphill stuff with a bar somewhere on the route.

I live near Malaga where there are roughly 50% riding road bikes and 50% riding mtb’s.Everyone seems to have the latest Fox front forks and many full suspension.Thing is that here people are not all 6ft plus so 95% ride 26ers.In my LBS today he has 21 mtb’s with 26″ wheels and only 3 29ers.As for 650B’s they have never even heard of them. The market for cycles is much bigger here than the U.K so chances are nothing much is likely to change.I rode the competition course where the BBC soap Eldorado was made today and it is hard enough with small wheels so dread to think how a 29er would cope.

I think a lot of what were British native birds have emigrated to Spain for the better weather. We are inland from Malaga and have lots of Sparrows,Thrushes,Blackbirds and Robins and they seem to be thriving.

OUCH!Working hard means 16 hours a day 7 days a week,2 weeks holiday a year and ride my horse once a week and then labour taxing you so much that you just walk away.I did not start with loads of capital and not a fancy job either as I cleaned and repaired horse rugs for a living.Ended up retiring at the age of 42 and buggering off to Spain.

If you are riding on a bridleway it is all in the word bridle. These tracks are meant for the use of horses. There are very few places to ride a horse safely in the U.K.Riding in the road leaves you in danger from car drivers who think they own the road-motorcyclists always had the sense to slow down and leave space for horses. The most dangerous thing for a horse and rider is a cyclist coming from behind and out of sight, so if you can let people know you are there.I have been in Spain for the last nine years and things are very different I think because many motorists also ride horses and cycles. We ride our horses and bikes on the same gravel tracks and all users seem to have a lot more respect for each other.

I retired when I was 42-9 years ago to southern Spain where we have a cottage that we rent out for holidays.Got fed up with being taxed to death by the labour government.Idylic life here riding 2 mountain bikes,3 motorbikes and 2 horses. We live quite comfortably on about £15k a year and want for very little to be honest. You have to have sufficient funds behind you as too many spend all their money on a dream home and do not leave enough to live on.

If you want more uphill than down see if anyone comes to the Guadalorce valley. As the name suggests we are in a valley but surrounded by various mountains. The best climb is Pizzara to about 1000 metres then you can come back down singletrack,Coin-where the BBC soap Eldorado was filmed and the one we did today Alhaurin mountain,20km of up and down.stop at bar and then come back. You do need to be reasonably fit as there is quite a lot of climbing.
