Have a few tit frames mailnly because of the comfort (56 old)

Insurance – large bill, caveats, restrictions etc been there already hence the worry
Wire rope/chain and ground anchor – this is something I will add its another layer for any thief to overcome
Alarm – I have one but I am going to install a second alarm as well (belts and braces)
Cameras – I am considering I will look at the one’s above any idea on this will be appreciated, where to buy from, tips etc

Has an alarm already with pirs install and siren box on front and rear of garage, has 5 lever locks, what I was hoping for was some form of wire rope with eyelets on the end so I can attach to a ground anchor, its has to be long as I have about 15 bikes need securing.

And yes last time they broke in by removing the roof tiles off the roof as its impossible to attack the doors for entry from the outside, but once inside easy to open the door.

    Keep them ideas coming please.
Last breakin I found out who it was as he tried selling my gear on ebay, and yes the police know him, and unless you can prove categorically its yours they dont do much for recovery but usually lift them for something else.
And yes its the fear they will come back because they know what I have.

Is it still wise to use grease on seat tube – I do otherwise it seizes or is there a better option I have missed?

All comms so far have been delay tactics, information supplied so far has been incomplete, turns out the address given by the driver is a business address owned by our neighbour, the assumption being that it is probably a company car.

My analysis of the situation is the neighbour is deliberately attempting to avoid a settlement to the accident

    Cheshire – yes
Listed property has to be re-instated to pre accident – it would still leave a new and old post so will take some time to weather
Stone masons say no to repair not possible
I advised her from the start to engage with her insurance company
Her brother the neighbor has recently had his gateposts built and I am sure would have advised her from the beginning what the cost would be

£2k for post, £800 installation the rest VAT

Scotroutes and irc, thx thats the sort of information I was looking for

    Is she fit? no
    Howmuchisit? £3.5k
Is she refusing to pay the estimated cost? says she will sort it out but not been any progress,
If not, what’s the problem?I think she is time wasting until we give up asking
Why would she report this to the police? Road Traffic Act – boundary of a property on the pavement is still included as the road as such all accidents should be reported
I would talk to her and divorce your wife for not taking the corect actions whatever they may be. Been there once before it wiped me out financially took years to recover

Is there a way to find out her car insurance details if she withholds them?
If I go to the police then I would hope they would knock on her door and provide the insurance details

I drive old cars, I dont care what others think, I service it myself, it does not break down or depreciate nor do I worry where I park it.

Gave up on status symbols after I married – say no more

Must be getting too old, yes it was the B tension, it was screwed in all the way so backed it off until they were not touching, all sweet now.

It was the ultegra 12 – 30 (6700) cassette so I assumed it would be safe however looks like the 6600 rear mech is max 27t, however look’s ok at the moment.
Not touching and changing on the rear ok, needs a bit more tweaking for the front or would I have made it impossible to get the front right with what I did?

Anyone care to say if anything bad is likely to happen or can I just suck it and see?

Why am I doing it – for a trip round the lakes needed some low gearing
