Well, kitchen being ordered and paid for in an hour. We’ve taken the appliances off the order – gives us more time to mull it over. I’m not fitting the kitchen til we’ve had the boiler and washer moved so plenty of googling hours between now and then.

Johndoh – looks lovely but were having built-in.

Had Bosch stuff in the past (fridge and dishwasher)….. Lasted well with minimal maintenance… I presume theyre still as good as they were?

We were looking at an AEG fridge at about that price…the wife googled it and didnt get good reviews (poor customer service, apparently), which is the main reason for this thread.

Thanks for all the replies, allthough most seem to involve Helvellyn, which I’m trying to avoid 😕

Can I recommend the particularly harsh hike a bike straight up towards Helvellyn

Done Helvellyn (not from that side, though)…. not sure I want to do it again! 😳

    Sadly 🙁 this:

Distance: 428mi (but these were mainly Calderdale miles and therefore worth 4 times as much 😉 )
    Time: 55h
    Rides: 43 (not even 1 a week – shocking!)
    Elev Gain: 47,566ft

Purple, lots of purple….. purple socks, purple ear warmer, purple ron hill waterproof. Oh, and before I got any padded cycling shorts I wore ‘Global Hypercolor’ shorts….remember them….changed colour with the heat from your body. What was I thinking?
Massive Duracell lights that took 2 D batteries each – 2 on the bars and one on the seatstay (still got them in the shed somewhere).
    Smoke and Dart.
Getting my first suspension forks – RS Quadra 10.

Been waiting 2 months to add to this thread – Capra AL1 arrived this morning after an extra 3 week wait. At work, so no pics yet. 😀

Sounds a bit much! Have you thought of doing it yourself? Not as hard as it looks to shorten/lengthen a bit of pipework.
If youve already got the boards up it shouldnt take more than a couple of hours…

‘Dougal’ – A game I remember fondly from my time in the cubs/scouts. It involved a sadistic scout leader stood in the middle of the church hall swinging a heavy feather cushion tied to a particularly rough hemp rope, round in a circle.
20-odd cubs/scouts stood in a circle trying to jump over said rope as the cushion came flying round – Last man standing wins (and avoids severe rope burn on his legs). Character building 😯

I got an Addict last winter. great coat, very waterproof. and big detachable hood for over-helmet duties. I got mine for £80 at the time from here.

Looks theyre £90 at the mo. The orangey red colour is great – very hi vis.

Whilst I love the welsh/North Yorkshire trail centres… something nearer would be a welcome change. Would Middleton park be hilly/big enough?

I nailed it on my Hardtail 4 weeks ago – when I say ‘nailed’ I mean I got a bit over confident on one of the reds and went sideways onto a slab of rock. I’m typing this from my laptop at home where I’ve been for the last 4 weeks nursing a broken collar bone. 4 weeks I’ve been here! Did I mention I’ve been here for 4 Weeks? 😯

Be careful out there, kids 😕

There’s only one – Bialetti Moka Express 😉

Millions of Italians cant be wrong. I’m still using one that was passed on to me by my father that was originally my nonnas – must be 40-50 years old.

First time on a proper MTB was 1987 – Brother bought a Giant super Sierra off a mate and didnt really use it so I used to mess around in the local woods on it (Copley & North Dean – Halifax area).
Before that – used to use old road bikes converted into “scramblers” with wide bars and slightly knobbly tyres.
