L Pakajak is fairly racy fit for my ~40″ chest.

XL Pakajak was a bit racy for mine!
Sent back for an XXL 😳

XL shorts were quite forgiving on my over-size thighs, though. 🙂

Eventually got cassette separated from cassette. Cassette appears to be in decent order but bearings in freehub are gone methinks. Any body replaced the bearings in a DT Swiss freehub? outer looks like a 6802 is the inner similar?

Still debating over bus or car to resort. Anybody any idea what road conditions will be like this time of year. Most hire cars seem to come with winter tyres on. Will this be enough to get us to resort?

If i put a warranty claim in (it appears stuff is under warranty for 2 years) would i go straight to SRAM or Via YT Industries (where i bought the bike?

bringing this one alive…

Having these problems with my cassette/freehub at the mo… cant separate them and making an awful noise when on the bike!
Cassette been on since new (November 2015) – would this still be worth a warranty claim?

I use something very similar to this Carbon Steel Wok.(but with a flat bottom!) Works nearly as well as it did on gas. No need to spend bag loads of money on induction specific pans 😉

We stayed at the White Horse Bunk House. Some old stables converted to basic but comfortable bunk houses with shared kitchen. Think it worked out at a tenner a head. Whinlatter not far by car. Pub (15m away!) served some quite respectable grub i seem to remember.

+6 for Kask Rex. Just bought one havent worn in anger yet, but very comfortable.

+5 for the Kask Rex. Just don’t buy the green one expecting it to be a nice bright green. It’s more like mushy pea green

Mines a very bright lime green !

2015 AL1 here. PIKE RCT3 and Monarch Plus. Love the bike! Some paint has found its way off the frame, but mainly due to my riding style 😉 .

Every thing else running fine with very little intervention on my part (jockey wheels are ready for renewal)

Outlying districts of Halifax are great! (mostly) I Live in Barkisland, 3 miles out of town, great access to the countryside (I bike from the front door).

Look at Ripponden, Rishworth, Barkisland, Norland, Stainland, Soyland.
Some areas can be quite spendy though. (EDIT: i see now these have already been suggested 😳 )

Have a look here

EDIT: Plenty of golf round here too. Clubs and pay and play.

White coat is a real thing for some people.

Very real for me! My Blood pressure is always VERY high when taken in docs or at hospital (was once told a forthcoming operation couldn’t go ahead until my blood pressure came down). Usually get sent home with a machine for a 24 or 48 hour test. Turns out my blood presuure is actaully very good!!

Where on earth do you hang out? 😯

Same here…… Romeo and Juliet by Dire straits too.

A love struck romeo sings the streets of serenade, laying everybody low with a love song that he made, finds a convenient streetlight, steps out of the shade, says something like you and me babe how about it?

Probably not verbatim… but its how I remember it.

How’s this “buy back” thing work?

If the car is written off they are essentially paying you out for the car which is then theirs to deal with.

Mine was recently written off (Cat C), They offered me £2500 for a car which I couldn’t have sold privately for much more than £1500. I asked if i could buy it back from them, they wanted £500. So I got my car and £2000. Had it repaired for £400 (cosmetic damage only – although the insurers repairers wanted £3500! which is why it was written off)
Result in my favour!

Bought a pair of Levis 541 ‘Athletic fit’ recently to encompass my sizable thighs (and arse)… great fit and stretch too! Even more betterer is that apparently I’m a 34″ waist in this particular Jean!
Just bought another pair 😀

Edit: 2 pairs for £100 at Levis outlet!!

I can order things whilst sat in my pants and get it delivered next day for cheaper than the real shops for which I would have to dress first before driving to.

Fully worth the £80 a year

This^ and the music and the films etc…. money well spent

I did a “last run” at Antur. All went well until the final rock garden in the woods. I overthought it and fell sideways after slowing down too much. Bit hurty but no real damage done.

Are you me? Exactly what I did last year… I broke my collar bone, however…

Watched this last night – nice to see an old rangie back on the road – Mine (1990 Vogue SE 3.9) was in a similar state externally when I begrudgingly got rid of it. Didnt mind the cost of petrol so much but the repair bills!!?!!
Would I have another….yes….yes…yes!
