If you mean that it’s dull and uninspiring, hot or cold, this is indeed true

If its dull and uninspiring, it was made that way by the english/americans.

I’ve told this to Zia (auntie) Juliana and she’s on her way over to give you a stern talking.

Tu sei tutti i filistei! I miei ravioli fatti in casa avrebbero vinto ogni volta che si abbinassero contro una patata. Le persone mi fanno male.

    🙂

Edit: my italian isnt what it used to be…. this may not translate very well 😳

    @wl

Cheers for that… looks like i need to have a try before i press click. Could always order and send back i suppose (bit of a faff tho).

Anybody out there got a 2017 5 in L or XL (Near Calderdale). There must be loads of 5s kicking around in Halifax 😉 😀

Very tempted by this. How do they size up? Orange website suggests I would require XL (6’2″). Any real world opinions on this. According to their website nobody has an XL demo in to swing my leg over….

I used to do a little loop from Pooley Bridge – Basically follow road down to Howtown double back on bridleway that goes up to cockpit. After cockpit follow bridleway/track to Helton. Bit of road onto Askham then climb back up to cockpit on bridleway and right back down track to pooley bridge. Nothing too testing, but a nice quick loop and some decent views along the way (lots of shake holes up by cockpit – if youre into that sort sort of thing 🙂 )

Thanks for the suggestions, people. I’ll pass them on.

drive in to the centre and park up?

They prefer to set up camp/awning etc and explore on foot/bike from there.

OP you do realise Chamonix is a big busy town!??!

Yes… I was there last summer – we stayed in Les Houches and travelled in on the train when we needed to 😀 . Doesnt have to be central , just within walking distance.

Stayed on a friends barge on the Midi when I was 16. All I can remember is the heat, and the 1664 and the wild horses.

Not much help but ’tis a beautiful place.

    Best thread in a while!
One of me, my brother and mum having a lunch break some where in france on the annual trip to Italy (My dad saw this photo the other day and he knew exactly where the picnic bench was – we used to stop there every year!). I’m the one not getting p**sed.

Ive just taken one out with Columbus Direct again

Matt- have ever made a claim? They seem very reasonable.

As an aside, I’ve just found out (3 days before I go to the alps!) that I’m no longer covered by the Travel Insurance provided via our (Lloyds) bank account. In previous years I was covered for pretty much any eventuality up to 2500m. Poilcty has changed in the last year or so – check your existing policies, chaps!

I can thoroughly recommend Porthclais Farm[/url] near St Davids in Pembrokeshire. Its on top of a cliff over looking the sea (Not strictly on a beach but there are beaches nearby). About 3 different fields to choose from depending how close to facilities you want to be.

    Dont know abot snowdonia 😐

lazy **** are less likely to ride them uphill, they’ll have rolled straight home and straight indoors

I tend to agree… although i was thinking that they may have come from afar, parked their own car up somewhere, and got a taxi Barkisland to avoid getting caught on CCTV.

Try and avoid jumping if I can! I’m sure the 5 (old 29er) will be fine for my requirements. will take a bit of getting used to after the capra….

Thanks for the advice and shares… Strava already has overlapping zones. Maybe need to set the radius larger. Couldnt pick out the taxi firm from CCTV footage. I would think thieves must be local if they rode home.

    Keep an eye on findabike

    Thanks… will do

It seems they arrived on our estate by taxi at around 12:30, checked every car door/shed door/ garage door before getting to mine and taking the bikes. Theres CCTV footage (albeit from a long way off) of them making their escape on my f***ing bikes! 👿
