Just bought a North Face Windwall this weekend….havent used it on the bike yet, but was wearing it out and about yesterday and it certainly does the job…very well made…but not bike specific, so no rear pockets etc….

We had acouple back in the late seventies/early eighties (Paddy & Crisp!).
Both pedigrees and both mad as mad jack mcmad….One of them jumped through a large sash window to chase a cat on th inside of the building…unfortunately the window was closed……Priceless!!
They have a great nature…and make good pets….but ours were both pedigreed to the max which meant a good few health problems…..

Ive had my Moka Express for about 10 years now (It was my fathers before that and my grandmas before that!!). They last forever (only ever put a new seal on which was dead cheap)and make a good cup of coffee….don’t have the heat on too high, though, just enough to boil…

    DAVES CHAIN DEVICE?

Still got one of these on my old ’92 saracen….dont think it really did any thing for gear changes….stopped the chain slapping though. Nice bit of useless retro kit….

Ive seen the dims on the website, thanks. Was mainly wondering if I could get away with the 'wedge' ……a bit thinner and packs away smaller…but probably less comfortable..!!
Ill probably MTFU and go for the Dozer 🙂

I bought one of the soft padded AVENIR ones from ebay….£40!….lined it with a bike box (free from Halfords!)…worked very well…although no wheels …so either drag through airport or get a trolley….

Anyone mentioned `Daves Chain Device'….Still got one on my Saracen Limited Edition (circa 1993). Not sure it had any benefit to gears changes or chainsuck…but looked great (or did it!?)

I had a very similar noise coming from my Bb/chainset area recently…tried everything to no avail. Eventually decided to live with it…then came down Helvellyn a couple of weeks ago and Hey Presto! no noise any more….So theres your answer…Fly down a big hill with lots of rocks…!! 😉

I sent mine back last year with a fault on the altimeter…It came back with new innards (mother board), cleaned and a with a new strap!!! At no cost to myself (they send you an airmail pack for your watch – prepaid)

Excellent service…Watch was out of warranty too!

I work a lot on rooftops looking at telecoms sites…often you have to walk to the edge/centre of the roof to get a decent reading…the smallest bit of steel can affect a compass….

Chop bits off as required. I used to have a roof box in the middle (leave rubber underneath roof box) and cut sections off either end for slide in bike racks. Keep cut off ends and reuse them when not using bike racks. It will cut down on noise a little bit.
