On the contrary I’m sniggering uncontrolably….not at their predicament, just their choice of protective head gear………

+1 for the Famous Wild Boar near Crook….Excellent food and wine (and whiskey, if thats your thing!). Were going again for our anniversary in april….A bit off the beaten track too, but not too far from civilisation if you want it (Bowness, Windermere)

I actively encourage my kids to throw food around the adjacent tables…Makes for a quieter dining experience, when every one else has left 😀

    Brassneck-

Your Italian mate shouldn’t be pronouncing Xs at all they dont exist in the italian alphabet. Having heard my father try to say the word ‘axe’ many times…..comical…..He just cant do it.

The pronunciation is eSpresso with an ESS sound…nuff said

Cant believe this thread has gone on so long….

I tend to agree with the OP. I do have apair of Oakley crosshairs for general usage, but wouldn’t dream of spending the same amount on bike glasses. Bolle Solis or similar provide more than enough UV protection and, whilst no Oakleys, they don’t look that bad IMHO. And for a few quid I dont have to worry about losing, standing on, sitting on them…….

I bought one a few years back to use with and old 2 series pressure washer (fairly basic one).
I was trying to clean up an old sandstone fire surround….didn’t work very well on that….just made a lot of mess (I was inside though!!)
Never tried it on old rust or paint but it did what it was supposed to do ie. fire a jet of sand and water at whatever you pointed it at……havent used it since…..
