    ‘the blackpool of canada’

Didn’t get that impression when we were there last. Has it changed a lot? (Bit late now, though!)
Lake louise and Sunshine are on the list (will probably go up to Sulphur Mountain on the Gondola too)

Ride to Antelope Wells, New Mexico?

    Had to google that one…. I’ll pass if you don’t mind – we’re only there 10 days…

As above …. probably not necessary but I layer near the top would prevent any unwanted cracking in the slab if you’re applying substantial load to it (e.g. a car)

‘Would I Lie To You?’ is a stone cold classic

I tend to agree 😯 ….I bought the album expecting more of the same….very disappointing

I have the 2013 Coil DPC 150. Been very happy with them once I got the correct spring in them – great over the really rocky stuff. Just self-serviced them too which was pretty easy once I had all the right tools/oil etc.

2 miles further on, stopped at the Square and Compass

Is this the square and compass near Langton Matravers? Spent a couple of summer holidays there a few years back….cracking place.

Back to the question in hand…….Danny Hart in the Buddha bar, Morzine a couple of weeks ago, and Dan Atherton on the flight back home.

    What takes you to Skibbereen?

Were off with friends who know somebody down there with an outdoor activity centre/hostel.

We will have a car so willing to travel around Dublin (looks like we may have to given the lack of attractions!)

@ rockhopper – Good idea, would be better though, if you tried to fix it and bodged it up, then I’ve got someone to blame…

Just had spring out – looks ok to me. Will compare it to medium spring I took out last year if I can find it.
Might just clean and reassemble – see if that does the trick………

Update…. Just taken lowers off. Very little oil came out. What did come out was just like thick dirty water. Inside of lowers very dirty … Must have been a serious amount of water ingress whilst in the alps. I presume a fair amount of oil should have come out when I whipped the lowers off?

that’s what I thought ….I have that one you gave the link to, but it doesn’t include the DPC….spose it will be a very similar dismantle…

Anyone got a service manual for a coil sektor DPC. Cant seem to find one on SRAM website – only air version?

Thanks for the info. I’ll have a look when I get chance.
I’ve swapped the spring before but not dropped the lowers – is this a fairly easy procedure?

Stage 2: its coming through my village! So hopefully at the top of “Cote de Ripponden” (Rippy New Bank.) Will be popping out every hour or so to see how busy its getting.
First few tents arrived last night in local farmers fields.
Should be a good day (weather permitting)

It’s a great beginners scramble IMO.

May suggest it when we get the maps out tonight…It’ll look a lot flatter on paper 😉

Still have a pair of these in the shed – Mid ’90s Duracell lights. I had 2 on the front! Massive and very little output:

Edit: I’m pushing it a bit by calling these ‘Tech’

Edit 2: Just looked back on thread and saw a game gear – got one of those too, in the loft, with a bag load of games….
