Scandal 29er 23lb on the nose

If you mean 445mm from centre of axle to top of fork leg then yes I am.

Mine are the On-One carbon forks and I love it.

So much that my geared 26er with front suss hardly gets a look it these days.

I am heading towards the custard/builders tea colour at the moment. But that may change when I get the colour chart from the powdercoaters.

    Expect pics when completed

    Moi, at Swinley yesterday.

The last bit of the red has been replaced by the pump track and they have done some work removing the braking bumps on the black.
This has resulted in better berms.
The bridge at the end has been replaced by a gigantic berm leading to the trail centre.

    I'm going Sunday, can't wait.

    I'm 6'1" with a 31" inside leg. I tried a 19" but felt it too big, so I went for the 17'5"
There is only 1/2" on the toptube length difference between the two.

    I too like mucho seatpost.

So following on, there is a very large wood by me and it has a BW with switchbacks and everthing on which is marked on the OS map.

But there is a trail that leads off the BW. I
The question is, if there is a trail that is not marked as a byway, bridleway or footpath, is it illegal to ride??

Who cares gonna do it tomorrow……………

I did exactly this. I was riding my Wanga much more than my 575, so it went and I am back HT full time with a SS/Rigid 29'er and a front bounce Cove.
Don't miss the bounce at all.
    Do it

Agreed. I was there today and knew that parts were breaking up, so slowed at those points to avoid doing any damage.
I tried it the day after it opened and loved it, but did it today on the 29'er rigid/SS and loved it even more.
Only the fresh braking ruts gave me a little wrist ache
The only downer today was more people riding without helemts and the C*ck on a carbon Scott Ransom, who moaned about people slowing him up on the trails and then that people who ride hardtails shouldn't be on the trails as they cause more damage. WTF.
Still had a wry smile after he had to pull over to let me and my group past.
We didn't make a point of chasing him, down honest

The only moan I would have, is that if you can't clean a section ie Werewolfs tooth drop, please don't stand at the bottom of it blocking the run out. Ta

    Thanks guys.
I have looked at teh BFe's but there is a delay with them.

Goog, I may have to take you up on that offer.

and Mick, you know me, always looking.

Lyons, how much does your mate want for his and what size is it?

    Went there this morning.
Very busy, but that was to be expected.

Excellent trail, big well done to the trail builders.

Although the first section dropping down to the railway crossing will prolly be the first to shut, due to the sides breaking away and braking ruts developing already.

But in it defence, it has prolly had a months worth of riders on it in the past two days.

Looks like mine's staying now. Gonna use it as the geared HT with Fox's up front. Pretty relieved actually.
It was too big for the buyer.

Got exitwolfs on my 29'er. Pretty good all round IMO.

I changed my 145mm Nixons to 140mm Fox forks and the whole bike seems quicker, and more chuckable.

The Nixons were great for a smoother ride, but the Fox's seemer a little stiffer and quicker.

Great frame, lovely to ride with suss forks or rigid.

    Worth the extra for steel.

Looks like mine may be going though, due to a new 29'er
