I’m hoping some of the returned yaris appear on crc’s site as I missed out and I’m after 27.5

Would it be unreasonable to expect the vendor to pay for/lower the agreed offer to cover any remedial work the tree needs?

Hadn’t considered the sap issue. Where did the car wax thread go?

Hi thepurist would the duty of care mean the council would do the work then bill the homeowner?

Have had the report back, tree is a 17m mature lime. Despite difference in levels it’s anticipated that the roots will have gone under the house and have been for decades without issue. Soil is low in clay but a 1 to 2m crown reduction is advised.

Potential fly in the ointment is an ‘element of included bark’ at a 3m high bifurcation along with crack developing below the union. Further investigation needed.

Waiting for a call on the costs of a second inspection. Also found out the tree has a tpo attached.

Hmm might wait on purchasing but still they’re only £180.

Very tempted at £180 not that I need or can really afford them. Can the 170mm be dropped to 140mm with a debonair kit?

Do we think they’re all 27.5 and not 29 as advertised?

Fox 34 Good 27.5 option or a waste of cash? Does it matter that it states e bike? Guess they are oe stock it that makes a difference.

That is cheap, why are there so few 27.5 bargains?

Attempting but not really getting on with them. Bauer Vapour with the HI-LO wheel set up. Quad skater by heritage, Bauer turbos with bel-air hockey back in the day. Now rolling another pair of vapours modded to fit a quad plate and sure grip twisters. Little chance of finding even repro bel-airs let alone genuine 80’s or early 90’s versions.

You should buy a pair, plenty of skaters older than me still going to the local rink.

Thanks for the replies, all very helpful. Engineer attempted to visit the house yesterday but estate agent didn’t turn up or leave the gate unlocked as promised. Hopefully revisiting next week, failing that it’s a 6 week wait.

So still none the wiser on what damage/risk it may pose.

Loose heatshield? Might be more of a rattle. If you block the tailpipe can you hear exhaust escaping from anywhere along the joints or boxes?

Looks like the forclaz has been superseded Mh500

That blue one is the one. Sizing sounds like it will be too big, pregnant man shaped I am not. With endura’s unique approach to sizing I thought it was worth an ask.
The mt500 and singletrack 2 look better but are well beyond my meagre budget.

Looks like one to avoid. What was the decathlon recommendation?

Cheers, the large sounds a little bit too big in that case. Will look elsewhere.

Have a look at the rosstech website. I downloaded their free version of vcds lite and bought a cheap kkl cable off eBay, £4 ish to read and reset the fault codes on my A3.

The type of cable may vary depending on vehicle age. A generic obd reader might not pick up manufacturer specific codes.

Citron Nemo, can get a bike in with the wheels on, £30 ish a year road tax and 70mpg. Looks daft and is pretty slow. The multispace has sliding doors just like the A team van. Mine is great. Couldn’t afford a Berlingo though.

Pancakes are on the list. Booze was sorted well in advance bucks fizz and glayvar. Scrambled eggs sound good. Sausage may encroach on dinner, going for pastries approach.

Also wearing endures gridlock trousers over 3/4 tights. Works well but my commute is pretty short. Can’t vouch for breathability.

Those bike theives in the clip looked more like homeless people in need of a bit of help not the kind of scum that steal to order. Yes I have had bikes nicked.

I bought a £4 to £5 blue kkl cable off eBay and downloaded the free version of vcds lite from the rosstech website. Gives enough info to read and reset warning lights. If you want to activate cruise control etc you’ll need the full paid version of vcds.

The generic obd readers will only display fault codes shared across all vehicle manufacturers. Not really worth buying.

You must have been horror-fied when you saw it. A bit of a polish and it’ll look spook-tacular.

I have nothing constructive to add.

My Sektors use the black plastic levers on the left, my old Revs had the much nicer and presumably more costly anodised red rebound adjuster.

Exeter arms is good but very small so can be busy, the Tap on the way from the Exeter to the Market Place is also a good choice. From there you can go to The Dolphin then head up towards St Marys/King Street to the Flower Pot which is always worth a visit. At kicking-out time in the ‘Pot round the corner to the Bless (open until late but by no means a real ale pub) spent much of teenage years (18+ obvs) in the Bless. Good times.

Bought a Nemo recently, very cheap to run but would probably be too small if you want more than one bike in it.

Also bought a pair of orange briskers, didn’t see the thread though. Worked well this morning for autumn chills.

Recently separated, couple ofonths now. We’re amicable so see my two pretty much every other day and spend weekends with them. Both have mobiles and can call text what’s app etc. Works well, really try and keep things amicable this goes a long way to make it easy for the children.

I use a static and a fast flashing front and rear when it’s daylight, switch the flashing to pulsing when it gets dark. Flashing LEDs at night are horrendous.

Had mine checked earlier this year, first thing on a Monday morning. PSA was a bit high so had to go back for more bloods but all ok. Was 41 at the time, no invite from go – had to request it.

Also gone for an HP Envy with instant ink – £35 in PC world and free ink if you print under 15 pages a month, and still cheap if you print more. The printer even orders it on it’s own.

    They’re taking over, skynet etc….

The new BB arrived yesterday and was fitted last night with…

A light smear of people grease I had in the tool box. The threads were pre coated with thread lock. No creaks anymore and the bike feels much smoother. Cheers all.
