Get lost in Hyde park/ Kensington Gardens. Lost of off the beaten track areas or perhaps lounge looking over the Serpentine and people watch.

Walk the Thames path in either direction.

Mill around Westminster and spot a politician or two.

Or hire a Boris bike and go exploring.

I’ve had various issues over the years that I’m pretty sure stem from a bad gut. (Serious dose of antibiotics in my 20’s that wiped me out).

After trying everything I started taking more interest in my gut and its ‘biome’ and I feel generally better for it now. Still have some amazing days when I think whats happening here (!), followed by a crash for a week but its slowly levelling out.

Recently read ‘the Diet myth’ by Tim Spector which lays out all the current thinking and debunks a few myths. Theres a lot in there that makes sense.

    Good luck.

    Thanks Blackflag.

Saw that but it costs to get the GPX from Komoot.

Wondered if anyone had done it and had the gpx. Newish event so perhaps not.

    Cheers

Yes, I’ll have done 200 miles the day before but doesn’t seem right rushing straight back. (Might feel like that on the Sunday though !)

Canal sounds good but will be on skinny road tyres.

Thanks for offer Nobeerinthefridge and Yes, I couldn’t see a straightforwardish nice route as everything going in/ out of the big cities.

Following the train route thereabouts might be a good shout !

Poop, poop, pee, play and sleep. Just like a baby.

Some good advice and recommendations, thanks.

Am really looking forward to getting her out and about next Tues when her jabs are all cleared, although she’s loving the football in the garden so prob in no rush to leave. Def natural dribbler but loses interest near the goal … 🙂

Shes loads of fun but been scrapping with the kids leaving various scratches. Had a puppy socialisation thing last night and she’s not fazed by other dogs or even particularly interested which is good.

I’ve got the Perfect Puppy book which is a good start and actually quite interesting regarding dog behaviour and expectations. But, I was after something to test her intelligence as her mum was incredible.

Can’t wait to take her for some small walks once the jabs kick in, shes so curious.

    loving it so far.

Nice, but quite a bit bigger I think and a bit more expensive ….

BSO can’t be only one of its size/ ilk .. ?

I’ve the 2.0 TDI DSG Sport.

Love the car although I’d prob not go for the Sport next time – harder suspension, tyres, etc … Handles very well but noisier on the motorway.

It pulls massively well even when loaded up to the hilt with bikes on the top.

7 seats, 5 seats, 6 seats in cab mode all work well and its very comfy for long journeys (I’m 6’3).

Small size is also a bonus with the overall length the same as a Golf.

Theres folk working on laptops using mobile data but from Stevenage Southwards you’ll have several longish tunnels and cuttings to deal with.

Plus from same point the train will be busy so data slow.

Vodafone gets 4G in a couple of places but struggles really.

Edgeware rd out to Elstree is fast and safeish (mostly bus lanes), then Borehamwood, Shenley, London Colney and St Albans – peel across to WGC from there.

Its a nice ride and one half of my commute from Hitchin to central London.

(ahem, hasn’t happened for a while)

Sold my B3 because it didn’t fit any kids bikes and none of my full suss’s …

Been through various types of ‘anything but the roof option’ but wished I’d gone down that route from the start.

Always ready, takes any bikes, zero faff … etc …

Got someone from BBKA really quickly and for free – British Bee Keepers Association

They were very helpful and keen as want to protect bees as much as poss.

Using an online one who’ve been good, but its for a new house so theres no urgency.

Would prob go local if I wanted it done quicker.

Online ( Beaumont legal) were 50% cheaper than our local ones so its dependent on area.

I just got mine (off ebay last week… !)

I’m 6-3/ 33 inside leg and the XL fits me well with a longer stem.

It came with two stems so email me if you want the shorter one.

The rain MADE the event last year.

Quite, it was an amazing ride ESP when battling those elements.

I experienced no bad riding, or dickheads, just lots of people riding and cheering.

Missed out on a space this year and not sure I can raise the sponsorship which is a shame as I have some great memories from 2014.

Viking hotel on the Romford rd is near and has motel style rooms out back where you can park and take bike bikes into rooms easily.

Doesn’t feel any different though when on either.

This link may help with your route planning http://ridewithgps.com/routes/199946

Thats about 100m extra elevation than I’ve done before with a tag-a-long bike but worth a punt.

Just a thought, and I’ll get this in first, I’m a basic Garmin Edge user ….

But when connected to Garmin connect it gets your device serial number so I imagine Garmin have a record of what email address is registered to that number ?

Wonder if you can backtrack that way or contact Garmin, etc .. ?

Its a great film and an equally great soundtrack.

I’ve got it on disc and have watched it countless times and it really stokes the imagination and enthusiasm for cycling and adventure.

Matthew Lee is one cool guy ….
