    @benslatt

    I’m assuming your lack of posting means it all went fine!

    Seems nowhere has a clear answer written down but are we confident that the take at home upload a photo and get emailed a certificate is ok for entry to France then?

    @ceepers
    yep! Got my test certificate by email about 30 mins after I uploaded the picture. Got back Saturday after a great week. The only people who cared about the forms/PLFs were easyJet at either end! Pass vaccinal was needed in pretty much every bar/restaurant though.

    @ceepers Morzine Source magazine have an updating article on what’s needed to travel that I’ve been checking off against (https://www.morzinesourcemagazine.com/travel-to-france-from-the-uk/). I used the Boots Antigen Test (take the LFT at home and upload a picture of it to get your certificate) and I’m travelling this evening so I’ll soon see if I’ve done everything correctly…

    Thanks @ElVino!

    Trying to do the sworn statements now, found the Orange Country form (which I’m assuming the UK from their map) but last night I found one specifically from the UK, but seems to be gone today…

    Apologies if this is a stupid question…
    I’m travelling to Morzine via Geneva tomorrow.
    I’ve filled out a Swiss Passenger Locator Form for my outbound flight. Do I have to do the same when I go back into Geneva (for a few hours) for my flight back? I know I’ll have to do the UK one…

    Does anyone know whether Switzerland/France accept ‘self-test’ antigen tests for travel or does the swabbing need to be done by a someone else? I can’t seem to find anything about who needs to do the test. I’m Heading to Morzine via Geneva in a couple of weeks so trying to sort tests.

    Boots offer both services, and give you the certificate, but I can save £10 a test if I just self-test.

    TIA

    When I smashed my TrailWide rear rim I used Hunt’s crash replacement scheme to get an EnduroWide front as it has the same amount of spokes and is a slightly burlier rim I believe. Paired it with a Rimpact now, so hopefully no repeats. Fairly sure my wheels are the TrailWide V2s though so not sure if they’re exactly the same.

    I put a rimpact strip in the front and rear on my full-sus after I wrote off a rear rim. Granted I’m quite light, but run 18psi in the front and 22 in the rear and haven’t had any problems.

    Had a Hello Dave delivered yesterday, not ridden it yet so can’t offer any opinion on how it rides, but compared to my 2016 full sus it’s absolutely massive! My thinking was for the price/spec it was great value for the components, frame might not be exactly what I need, but can always strip the parts off and sell the frame for a new one if I don’t get on with it.

    Had my fork and shock done there after being abused for 3 years and they were fantastic.

    Somehow snapped a cam in the shock lever just after they serviced it, took it back and they re-built it again FOC!

    Will be getting them done again there soon.

    Thanks everyone, definitely not a DIY job for us, still earning our DIY chops as this is our first house, so maybe a few smaller projects before I take a sledgehammer to the wall…

    Will start to phone around builders and get some quotes. Estimates here are quite similar to what my uneducated guesses were, but timescales much shorter.

    My OH works at an architects and has drawn the plans of what we want up, so will try and get hold of them and share them on here later.

    If anyone knows/can suggest any builders around Bristol that would be a bonus!

    Not underestimating the amount of work required at all! Just wanted an idea of what’s involved.

    The wall is in the middle of the house, so probably holds most of the upstairs up.I have a feeling the copper pipe is for the central heating as it’s going up the wall rather than across.

    First thing on the list is to find a structural engineer then!

    We’ve not got much room to add width to the doors even if we wanted to, so they’ll be the same width.

    Yes sorry internal dining room wall, 1890s terraced house. The kitchen & utility is further out the back, this is to join the dining room and hall together. I’ll try and post some floorplans this evening. We looked at a lot of houses before we bought this one and quite a few had this done, so it’s a v. common job in this part of Bristol (East).

    Approx. 3.5m? I’ll measure up when I’m home from work later. Just for more info, there is electricity in the wall and some copper piping (external to the wall) near the door frame which hopefully can be moved easily.

    Same q as OP, I rode some of the newer lines that have been cut in to Leigh Woods where picnic bench used to be and they seem so much steeper. Obviously the slop didn’t help but I find as soon as things get steep and sketchy, my eyes won’t shift from my front wheel and it all goes hairy.

    On flatter/dryer/flow-ier trails I can keep my head and hips pointing the right way much easier.

    Is there a way to force yourself to keep looking forward? I feel like a passenger on the bike, falling down the hill hanging on, rather than riding my bike down it! I guess the obvious answer is practice…

    Home now and taken a closer look, GXP written on the side.

    ‘Pressfit GXP MTB PA+ GF”

    Current cartridge in there looks to be 95mm wide and the actual frame 89mm

    Thanks all

    I’m at work atm, so can’t take the crank off, but I’m fairly sure its got a plastic cartridge around the bearings rather than alu cups. The seals are red, fairly sure it’s a SRAM plastic one piece job.

    Thanks for your help

    Thanks! I had a feeling that it was probably just to cover themselves (or sell more tyres). Will chuck them on the new wheels.
