Got a pair for riding in recently because they’re cheap, plain black & don’t look like ‘biking’ sunglasses.

Done a couple of rides, all good so far.

Mine have arrived – plain brown box, 2 grey tokens, ‘stealth decals’.

I’ve done a little digging & it appears the Lyrik/Yari share the same airshaft, would anyone know if this is the correct one I need to lower travel to 140mm with the current larger negative spring?

    Link

    Cheers, Ben.

I’ve ordered some of these and they’ve been ‘despatched’ but not delivered yet so I can’t confirm what airspring they’ve got.

    But if anyone has the C1 140mm 650B airspring & fancies a 160mm I’d be interested in a swap.

    Cheers, Ben.

I’m a sweaty giffer when riding & my old Montane Dyno is getting a little tired, I’m blaming this thread for forcing me into ordering a Rab Borealis!

Another vote for nozzle here, it has it’s own separate integrated filter – which may be blocked or frozen with water dependant if it is an internal/external boiler.

Yeah no standout peices from the new stuff for me, not even anything I thoink might grow on me. I got a 42mm Explorer in the end and glad I did now.

Edit: Tudor look to have dropped the ‘Heritage Black Bay’ in black that was looking to be a next likely purchase.. In favour of all the gopping new stuff. Hmm.

What, no comments on the new Tudor and Rolex releases on their websites yet?

Not over keen on any of the new ones really, and glad I didn’t wait till after Basel to buy one!

@johndoe not sure I said that, but there are some sights to be seen in Malia, if that’s your thing.

Interesting regarding Tudor Neil I’ve been drooling over their ‘Heritage Black Bay’ for a little while now. Been hanging on to see what happens at Basel though..

Agios Nikolaos is beautiful, take a walk up the steps at the side of the lagoon for the views, we had something to eat at one of the resteraunts at the top and it was a really nice place to sit and spend some time.

We rented a scooter and rode up the mountains to visit Mohos, Krasi (where the ancient olive tree mentioned above is), around the Lasithi Plateu to the Dikteon Caves (supposed birth place of Zeus) worth the walk uphill!

Plenty of things to do – or just go to Malia and laugh at the brits abroad.

Been to the Rolex boutique in town and been told two years for a submariner date, still to talk about Explorer two yet.

But coming in much cheaper and caught my eye, have a look at Tudor Black Bay heritage – lovely.

Think both of the Subs are the same. The Explorer grows on me more the more I look at it though.

Never got watch shopping this weekend, life gets in the way unfortunately. Current frontrunners are these though if anyone is interested?

    https://www.chrono24.co.uk/rolex/rolex-submariner-date—black—rare-t25-dial–id8653836.htm

    https://www.chrono24.co.uk/rolex/submariner-16610—black-dial—1989–id6777010.htm

Both of the above would be ‘birthyear’ watches, which is appealing, but the lack of box & papers is worrying me slightly..

Also, whilst dithering, I’ve really warmed to this – https://www.chrono24.co.uk/rolex/explorer-ii-orange-hand–id9865508.htm which is nearly new, but would mean a trip down to the big smoke to try it on. I’ve got a 42mm Seiko diver which suits my wrist size slightly better, over the older 40mm Subs.

    Any thoughts?

    A Lambretta – 1970’s Italian loveleyness.

I’m only in my twenties still, does that count as a MLC!?

*Edit, actually two, but one’s 60’s and Spanish.

Any pics dubberDid you get the gloss black or matte?

I have just noticed they’re 51mm offset, which may be a bit much for a new BFe (I’ve got a pair of Pikes put aside)

    thanks, Ben.

Does anyone know if these can be lengthened to 140mm? If so I might click the buy button.

Also, are the stanchions as dark as on the website (dark grey/black) or the usual grey?

Edit; they look darker on the gloss black forks in the pics, true or just the way the photos look?

    Pics would be good!

    Thanks, Ben.

Forgot to mention they’re powered via a Denon AVR amp, not sure which one exactly, but again sounds good (to me!)

Neat Acoustic Motive SE2’S, sound amazing to my (admittedly untrained) ears.

Is it making a kind of ‘howling’ noise, as per MikeG above? If so, suggest they get it serviced.

    Here

We stayed at the above, it’s cheap and cheerful, there’s bike storage avalable, though we chose to leave them locked in the van. Easy walking distance into town with all the pubs/food you could ever possibly want.

AA were really good for me, listed 2 expensive bikes as ‘specified items’, including cover away from home and in Europe.

I rode one on Saturday at the demo day, before I was convinced I needed a BFe. Rode the Soul and just felt bettererer.

£1400 is far too much, you’re into Ti Vendetta territory there.

Picture of the ‘Prime’ HT on Singletrack’s Instagram earlier looked veeeery nice.. Went online to check prices and as mentioned above, no prices listed and £100 to ‘register interest’, on what – no geo sizing or cost!?

Edit: found this https://dirtmountainbike.com/bike-reviews/trail-enduro-bikes/trillion-prime-brand-new-160mm-british-steel-hardtail.html still not worth dropping £100 on an unknown..

You can specify items over the £2k limit with AA, I’m insured with them for a bike worth more than this, underwritten by AXA if I remember rightly.

On the mobile site on my android there is no zoom, I cannot see full thread titles, post numbers or author before clicking in, and having to go back to ‘overview’ in stead of having the forum links at the top is annoying.

Research expansion vessels or get an expert in to check yours – they have a bladder in (similar to a football) which should have an air charge matching cold-fill pressure of your system, it’s an obvious culprit if your pressure dances around a fair bit during the day.
