Very nice. I’ve been looking at concrete tops too and islands as an alternative. £££££!!!!!

I’m getting all sorts of mixed quotes at the moment. Including Corian sinks, rounded edge islands, hob, sink hole and sink drainage cut outs, Magnet quoted £6.3k!, John Lewis £5.5k approx and 3D Worktops £3.6.

That last quote from 3D I expect will probably jump another 1K as they quoted for group 1 colour rather than group 4 (quite like Antartica) plus the sinks might be different sizes.

My dad had Corian in his old house which was tutti fruti in colour, Festival I think they called it. Amazing!

Some cool pics here. The Gaggia’s seem to be a popular choice.

MrBlobby – The colour of that espresso in the last pic looks great!

    Cheers guys.

Should have mentioned a 3 year old and 18 month old twins with a double width buggy. Boat definitely not an option!

    Some great choices here!

Beavertown in cans is good, keg is so much better!

Brewhouse and Kitchen have Gamma Ray on their normal range at the moment. They have quite a few pubs scattered about.

    Isto – That’s a great t-shirt, brilliant idea!

Lots of Ale talk going on here, too. My brother-in-law had a keg for his BBQ yesterday, Suthwyk (Southwick) Old Dick. It was very good.

I managed to get a couple of pints of Beavertown Gamma Ray in as well from a local pub, that was a treat!

I’ve been running Shimano Saints for the past year and they’ve been great. I had DMR V12’s before but prefer the Saints. Great pedal.

I would prefer a cockpit without a bell but since I’ve chosen to have one, I’m treating it like a quality component to complement the rest of the bike.

    Done. SJS Cycles £52

It’s threads like this that show that the bike industry can actually charge any amount they like for anything and idiots people will still buy their shit!

Clearly no appreciation for quality craftsmanship. If Hope made a similar product, no doubt it would cost around the same price bracket.

Mind made up. I’m going for the Matt Black Spurcycle.

Does anyone know where it’s in stock in the UK?

Direct shipping from Spurcycle USA looks to be £50 with shipping but is there likely to be an additional duty to pay on top?

Is this actually a serious thread? Who in their right mind would pay that much for a bell!?

Quite a few people by the looks of it. ;-)

I’ve seen the Rockbros on eBay. Tempting but just can’t bring myself to do it, I’d rather pay for the Spurcycle quality.

    That timber looks cool, quirky.

For those who may be interested, I ended up using the Garmin Edge 25 around the Almeria Circuit and it seems to have given fairly accurate results.

Whilst I wasn’t looking for quick lap times, the laps were fairly consistent with a quickest of 2:18 (fast group going 1:58’s and quicker). Hopefully Focused Events will send my official times through as it was all timed with transponders on all the riders bikes.

Quite happy with that considering I’ve not ridden for 5 -6 years and had to take it easy. There’s no way I was going to drop that bike, I may have to just retire it now as a centrepiece in the mancave as it was before.

A great experience and one I would recommend.

I have to say I was rather chuffed with the results. Made a few variations including traditional Margherita (pictured) and Marinara as well as a Pizza Pilgrims inspired “Nduja”.

I tried out two dough recipes. One batch of 24hr sourdough and the other made fresh with 24hr sourdough starter. Both worked well.

Avoid burning by turning at least three times during the cook around every 20 -25 seconds.

More pizza again this weekend. Twice!

Apparently still 10 minutes to heat up but I’d probably give it 20 myself to make sure and enjoy a beer whilst I wait……

    Good News!

I just got an email through notifying me that I will be receiving the Uuni 2S which is the latest model, now with a stone base!

Just been on the website and it looks as though they’ll be shipping anytime now.

I agree. It’s certainly not practical to take your bikes apart every time you put them away.

It’s more of a “what if” type question as arguably, the bikes were built from individually purchased parts rather than a complete bike.
At the very least, I always take the wheels off and keep the skewers separate so they can never be ridden away….

The feet do fold under the oven as they’re hinged.

Not too sure about the chimney though. When watching the unboxing video, the chimney is stored inside the oven. I’m not sure this will fit once assembled as the main aliminum shelf looks slightly raised and there is a plate in front of the fuel crate which is used to prevent too much direct flame on the crust.

After spending the last few days researching this product (Uuni 2) and watching all the video’s and reviews, I am pleased to say I have just placed my order for one!

I’ve been really impressed by this product. I love the simplicity, the passion of the inventor and for what you get, I think it’s a bargain!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention OP. I actually started work on a masonry pizza oven last year which had to be haulted due to funds. I may still do this but look forward to enjoying the Uuni in the meantime.

    Shipment is expected in March.

I looked at Dragon portable ovens aswell, the same used by Pizza Pilgrims on their Tuc Tuc.

Around £5k for an oven on a portable trailer!

I was going to mention the Roccbox. Does anyone know when theyre going to be available?

The Uuni looks good and are looking to sell out on the next shipment!

I like the look of that Esse. How much are they going for roughly?

2001 Ducati 748s – My current bike. Not ridden for five years due to time / financial commitment to cycling. A dream bike as a kid and my dads bike before becoming mine. I’ll never get rid of it.

1991 VFR400R NC30 – My first proper bike when passing my test at 17. Other than the Ducati, the best handling bike I’ve ever ridden, sounds amazing and so unique, virtually bombproof and you can ride them to the maximum relatively safely on the roads.

1999 Yamaha R6 – Loved this bike. It came after a short spell with a DRZ 400 SM which I became bored with. Kept it until acquiring the Ducati.

    Apologies if slightly off subject.

Has anyone got their kids into MX recently and what age would you start them at?

My dad got me a Yam PW50 when I was a kid, absolutely loved it but wish he’d have upgraded to an 85 and took me and my bro training. Money wasn’t really the issue for him, more time unfortunately.

My boys about to turn 3 but I was thinking maybe 5 for a first proper bike?

How much would be a reasonable amount to kit out and is the training / club meets going to break the bank if it were to be regular thing?

    Cheers.

Reassuring to see I’m not alone with this issue. I’ve been looking into a PIV extractor and will probably go with this option. One thing you’ll have to check is for good existing ventilation in the loft space to draw the outside air in.
