I used to have a Kona stab done in flip purple/green. It was done for free by the manufacturer of the paint whilst i did my work experience there and the guy who did is world renound for his painting skills apparently.

Was really nice and lasted very well too (even on a dh bike) but he said he’d used about £500 of materials. It was PPG xirallic paint, the guy who bought the frame for £300 got a blinkin bargain!

Personally, I’m convinced that MMCC has snow-balled from a theory of an individual, grown through genuine interest by other climatologists in papers/journals, and finally been pushed, bullied force fed to us as scientific fact in order to justify all kinds of political and commercial agendas.

We are convinced of a threat thorugh the publication of countless research projects, if not funded by an organisation with a particular point to prove in order to achieve a commercial goal, then funded by a researcher trying to make a living by publishing headline-grabbing work.

The argument of the gubberment wanting to use MMCC as an excuse to raise revenue is dubious; I do believe however that it is being used to change consumer behaviour, to reduce dependancy upon imported fossil fuel for example.

I have faith that they have foreseen a far bigger, more imminant challenge ahead of the western world than global warming; they know that there are economic and humanitarian challenges on the horizon which could make the UK a very nasty place to be indeed and that we do have the ability to avoid (if managed correctly).

And if they come to fruition, none of us will be worried about the weather 🙂

5-6 hours a day for a couple of weeks of CONSTANT vibration, braking bumps, jumps, dust, mud, rocks, uplifts, etc etc.

It causes all kind of problems you’ll never ever expect. I’ve experienced:

    -Cassette lock ring working loose
-Rear wheel losing tension every run
-cable ties wearing through and causing the front brake hose to get in the front wheel
    -freewheels destroyed within days

Nothing catastrophic I know, but stuff which you’ll just not see over here because the abuse is just so relentless. And to give a real idea of how tough it is, I had bleeding blisters on my palms within a couple of days!

    The weather was beautiful

Lie. It was rubbish everywhere on Earth.
