I’ve built up a BFemax and killed a wheel already- nukeproof horizon. I’ve gone for a DTswiss EX511 and 350 hub from PTcyles with the upgraded ratchet all in £588

I mean by having things you cannot afford.

im a married father of two young children, who is lucky to have parents that have been very generous to me. We’ve been able to do things we deffo couldnt afford, such as buying a new car. Had we not had this we’d be in serious debt.

We just see a lot of folk whom seem to have all the latest and greatest everywhere we go.

I am also the current sole earner and my salary is just under 25k per annum.

Apologies for the briefness, I don’t particularly enjoy typing on the phone.

That’s refreshing to hear, the only debt we technically have is the mortgage… I have a lot of wants but try to hold back.

apple watch is currently a want…so far I’m holding back. It’s probably another piece of tech that nobody actually needs

Some things to consider, I have got an ayup for my lid but the battery has failed hence having to go down the cable in the rucksack route for the minute.

The bar mount always annoyed me on lights especially when they come with far too much cable.

Good call, found them on CRC any idea how the X guide works, can 3 cables go parralel. I can’t tell from pic.

Cheers for that lot, i do most of my riding round blacka, houndkirk way. Just fancied a quick local blast out the door.

Ive done a bit round rivelin, usually go down coppice lane onto tofts head to manchester road and then back dow the bridleway from Den Bank. That side is ace its the other side to strines i struggle with.

Have been down riggs road to moscar and over to derwent as well but that not such a quick blast. Spoon lane off riggs had potential but all footpaths.

Ill mail you, interest with these 7.30 rides…anything on facebook?

Basically, where people would ride from stannington. Somewhat cheeky as there dont appear to be a ton of bridleways.

Ive done rivelin, wymingbrook, loxley common but struggling with finding new stuff.

reverb post has a black collar. If I’m not mistaken the old ones were silver?

The remote has a silver adjuster. And said compatible with all reverbs.

Loved it, gave me a taste of how difficult these things can be. Fitness wise I felt happy with my performance in sunday. However my stages were shocking. Worst being built bottling one of the long steep chutes for a good 5 minutes before going down. Left me 779th overall…..at least it’s easy to improve on.

my first event too, hope its just like a long ride in the peaks. have been doing a few 25-35 milers recently to try and get some fitness. No full face for me, i dont fancy overheating in that thing.

    Pack will consist of:-
3l bladder plus bottle on cage
    Multi tool with chain tool
    Quick links
    Two tubes
    Gear cable
    Spare hanger
    Food

    Job done….i hope

Drilled the slab and broke it up, and dug down fairly deep. Now i know a d lock was suggested but would that be better than an anchor that screws in?

Removing the slabs could be a bit difficult as the shed floor slats/rafters are sat on it. Can’t really pull it out.

Thanks for the tips. Turned out to be a rushed bleed the first time. Took my time and cycled the oil loads to make sure and bingo! It works!

A tip for the stylus, wear a glove cut off all fingers bar thumb and little. Stops your hand making a mark on the tablet by accident.

I’ve added another one to my deviant art page. Had to pretty much rip off some photo reference as couldn’t figure it out in my head.

I’d post a link but don’t know how to grab the full link on my iphone

I think i need to figure out how to work my lines more, I was always a doodler that never really finished anything off. Usually in fear of screwing something up. Luckily doing this on the ipad means i can hopefully develop some more.
