I was under the impression it’s a mucous membrane to catch dirt particles that the hair hasn’t stopped and filtered out.

Got some defrosters and love them, best winter boots so far, and very good at staying dry inside.

All quiet on the western front, was a book that stuck with me.

Liked it as a shop, the area was distinctly iffy. Chesterfield is ok, but almost not enough stock for the size of the shop. Sheffield branch I find just odd the two shops, split between road/mtb & general, with the giant concept store just a little further down which they also own.

Nutcracker and Midlands series for me, combined with the Cannock winter and summer classic, and not forgetting mayhem, which I’m looking at fat pairs. End of season usually do the Oktoberfest at Bristol, really like that event maybe influenced by getting on the podium twice :)

Oh yes, remember that book, went from programming at home in my spare time as a hobby to going to uni to do Computer Science, where upon I was sick of the sight of computers so spent lots of hours riding a mtb on cannock chase pre trail centre days, where you would sometimes be the only mtb on there. Managed a third but kindled a love of cycling that is still strong today.

There deluxe range is excellent, they are seriously competitve on fruit and veg pricing and their milk is 74p for 2 litres compared to tesco at £1.

I also treat it like a foreign holiday and try and buy one item I have never tried it’s led to some interesting taste sensations.

Are you suggesting he should be paid more for doing such a good job of limiting their tax liabilities?

I don’t think so but check with google :P

Why they are only paying £130 million tax for five years, yet today they have paid the chief executive £138 million for a years work.

Yes they are consumables, and the good news is there is pattern parts coming on line so cost is coming down. As for life span depends on how you drive, long trips, short trips etc. But replace some at 60k and others at 140k

No idea, but you might want to check that out first before just plugging something in to the mains.

Got some skull candy uproars, very comfortable, good time between charges, sound quality is good, and noise spill is excellent so much so, no one knows if I’ve got music on or not. Bought to warm up on my turbo trainer at races and so far have been excellent, volume control and basic skip features on one can, in easy to find and use buttons. Thirty quid from Tesco.

Crank brother candy user here, no problems with getting clipped in and out, shoes you can walk in. As for losing power cobblers, otherwise top mountain biker xc racers would race in road shoes, done a few crits as well, and never pulled a shoe yet in them.

Clement and Tufo have been tubeless tubulars for a long time, they are sealed if punctured with sealant.

As for tape standard tape won’t hack it, there is a tape that they claim does work

It’s easy to apply, haven’t ridden my set yet but hope to in the next few weeks, but it appears to have stick as well as glue.

Got tubs for next season and I have seen guys with the tub version of my tyre come away with cleaner tread, due to the suppleness and low pressure the tyre moves enough to release the mud, they are cloggable but they are the last thing to clog.

As for wheels I bought two pairs of wheels from use in their black Friday sale, one set for muds and the other set for inters, and once you have stuck it’s not easy to change around, so if having one set would personally go for just muds depending where you are as that’s the one that gets used most well it was this wet muddy winter.

Not all aluminium needs to be heat treated after welding, that’s why 6061 was often referred to as 6061-T6 as the T6 was the stage of heat treatment. 7000 series alloys aren’t heat treated after welding.

Mind was, so returned it, didn’t even trim the cable, wouldn’t bleed up and stay bled. It would lock down and not return, wouldn’t pull up either, decided I didn’t need that kind of unreliability on my bikes so handed it back and carried on with normal posts.

Cyclocross bikes require a finer touch and smoothing through things, you can’t just pelt at things and let the fork do the work. You have to embrace your inner float to help the bike smooth over the top.

I race on 25-30 psi, but would go more for 40-45psi for bridleway playing.

You can do a lap then a pint then another lap, as long as you exit and reenter at the correct place that’s fine. It’s when it turns into cheating then there’s an issue.

Lack self confidence so get in a rubbish job, then feel trapped and end up staying way too long, then looking for next job I apply for lower and lower end jobs, not believing in my abilities or aptitude and don’t think anyone is going to see anything employable in me. Can’t afford to be without a job, got a mortgage to pay for and a deteriorating disabled dependent mother who lives with me.

So I’ve gone from being a software engineer in processes control systems, to a school lab technician, to a vehicle technician/MoT tester, currently looking for somewhere else.

Are we talking ones that come as part of a frame or ones that you add to pf30 and bb30 frames.

Ones that come as frame, had a singlespeed cannondale, nice bike but the bottom bracket wasn’t that God to adjust, and required regular adjustment.

In the pf30 had a problem solvers, which was ok, but the bearings have now seized and finding replacement is a nightmare and it runs silly plastic inserts in the bearings. Now using a wheels manufacturing one, bearings seem good, starting tight seems better in the frame, but it’s a lot snugger in the frame than the problem solvers.

Depends how the mood takes me, but I tend to most of my leisure off road rides either on a singlespeed so grunt like hell on the climbs and relax on the descents, or on the fat bike just bounce along enjoying the ride.

    Where were all the SSCXers?

Was there a class/prize for it? If so didn’t know, but it’s almost a 4 hour drive for me.

He left this big digital pub we will call stw/home never to be seen again, we tried putting his image on milk bottles but unfortunately due to an unfortunate birthmark he just looked like the bar code.

Think of it another way if you were god and deciding who you fancied hanging out with, would you chose to call Trump or Murdoch for an interview? There can’t be much space downstairs as it’s full of Audi drivers.

The best thing about 2.4 GHz is it sends a fully coded signal to the car so no interference issues as can be seen with 27 and 40 MHz.
