Well the speed limit on the promenade during the summer period has always been 10mphs… hit the cliffs for some hill climbing if you’re tough enough. Or go slow at 10mph and avoid the kiddies with spades.

I’ve just got a Santa Cruz Superlight…. I’m about 101kg and it’s fine. The frame seems alot burlier than previous editions.

It seems that doing A Levels straight after GCSEs is easier as you’ve been recently using the study skills needed. School-based A levels allow more structured study for students whereas colleges offer a more responsible approach. Whichever is best for the individual works best. It’s easier to continue with education than to leave and get back in. He could do the vocational courses once A Levels have been finished.

Surfing (normal) and triathlon/swimming wetsuits are very different. I wouldn’t want to surf much in a swimming one as they can catch and rip more easily.

O’Neil, Rip Curl and Snugg are very good in my opinion. Try it on first, back length fitting is key.

I’m out as well. Another work do here I’m afraid. Should be back on for next week with plenty of riding time during the holidays for me. Yay!

Giro Athlon cheap at On One at the moment. Good venting and single-handed size adjusted on the fly is awesome. Visor on and off if need be. Love it.

It’s awesome, the harder you swim the more the benefits. Go to a swim fit session or something to get sets. Otherwise you’ll plod along and get bored and get out.

Mavic notch’s, amazing but a tad pricey! Fox Rangers are good too…. recommend going down the sizes on both.

It gets easier…. you get better. The more you put in to your work the more progress you have. The more you worry and work the more you get out. Doesn’t sound right but it is…. It’s a strange old career in that respect. Good fun but hate the excessive non 9-3 work that comes with it.

Got some new 2012 SLX on my new bike. Love them. Anyone know where is best to buy pads…. any opinions on whether to replace finned pads with non-finned pads when the originals wear out?

    Thanks.

I’ve got a Superlight recently. Absolutely love it, very little to go wrong. I’m 16 stone and no problems with bottoming out. Feels more burly riding it than you would expect. There’s some good deals around. Might be worth asking a shop to spec you a bike. I’ve gone with Fox Floats and they seem very good.

Ian, just to let you know that I won’t be able to make Thursday as I have a work event until late! So hopefully you won’t waste energy carrying the spare light.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

I’m going to buy one of smudge’s XML lights for the handlebars. Need to decide on a CREE light from DX and an attachment for the helmet.
