Got mine about 9months ago, absolutely love it. Went back on the old bike the other day and realised how good the Superlight is. I’ve got 120mm forks and is awesome. Not very much pedal strike in my opinion. Haven’t noticed the low BB.

I did the one on 2nd Jan this year at Longmoor Camp. Not massive elevation or anything. A lot slower than any other 10k due to a few queues and tougher cross-country running than others, loads of man-made sand dunes on the one I did.

Good work doing the Beach Lifeguard qualification. It’s pretty hard work. Concentrate on long, slow ‘S’ pulls focusing on the push past your thigh (most propulsion). Do lots of 8x50m on 1min descending and 4x100m on 2mins descending. It’ll go down but needs plenty of training. Don’t worry about tumble turns, they burn loads of energy unless you’re very good at them. Spend your time on decent technique and keep your head down to encourage your legs to stay higher in the water.

Speedo’s or jammers will make it a lot easier.

I’ve got an XL Fireball and it fits as I would hope for an XL. I’m 6’4″ and about 100kg. I’d class it as somewhere between average and athletic XL cut.

Completed a 108km road Audax for the first time today…. I can conclude that road bikes are painful after 4 hours. Lovely idea Sue.

If you don’t enforce the uniform, you won’t be able to enforce the behaviour…. stricter the uniform the better. If it slides so does behaviour.
