Grew up here, went around the UK (to some extent) and the world and came back. Lovely beaches, countryside, very much a young town again with the finance, hospitality and leisure industries. More industry can be found around the Poole and Christchurch areas. Loads of decent places to choose from, try the hinterland if you want somewhere quieter but picturesque. Varied nightlife, late 20s onwards the place to be as mentioned above is Ashley Cross. Feel free to email me for any more details. Very friendly place. Thoroughly recommend it.

Get involved in the uni club, they have great heritage in the form of Paul Manning. Tri club is worth a shot if you fancy some road too. Heritage there as well with Sir Simon Lessing. All full of decent folk when I was there.

Normal plan is to meet at 7pm on Thursdays by the Gas pressure reducing station just along from the Sports centre. Normally 1.5 hours riding on the dry, dusty trails.

I’m surprised you’re thinking of using a dremel. You’ve got much bigger tools in your garage that could be used!

Can’t make it due to the squeal squeals having a busted diaphragm. Plus I wouldn’t want to miss eating time to ride!

Would recommend the Hudson Hotel & Bar, stylish and well priced, rooms are quite small but charming.
