I think it depends how Beardy you are. I have heavy stubble and have always found them useless. Dunno if they have improved recently.

Ive used engine oil in my lowers for the last 8 years, whatever I have around. It doesn’t make the blindest bit of difference.

We shall be doing Turkey – but on the Webber – slowly cooked using an indirect method. Tastes amazing and leaves all the space in the oven for roast veggies/pigs in blankets etc!

I’ve used walking crampons on trainers so I’m sure they’d be fine on walking boots.

You can get some really crap advice from this forum. It might be fine for a little while bit will eventually snap the crampon.

It’s ironic if JD own Blacks. I used to work for GO back in 2002 ish, I remember being at the Christmas party when it was just the the Sheffield branch. The MD John Graham stood up and outlined his plans for the company, one of which was to put Blacks out of business!

I’m having the same debate, mines 4 and 3 months. Think he is still a bit too small, will just spend the whole time retrieving his car from the other side of the room when he floors it around every single bend.

Im a big fan of Mighty Car Mods and Eric the Car Guy – both good if you are into diy stuff.

Ive always found JL garage to be a bit tedious and longwinded, will have to try it again.

I know its not an RS4 – but what about a Golf R estate? I think pretty much as quick and will be alot cheaper to run plus probably less easily stolen.

Why has no one mentioned glow plugs?

because it doesnt sound like its turning over.

The garage will have told you all those parts are goosed – but in reality I bet they are not all knackered. Cars dont generally go wrong things break because there are weak points on them/ poor design. I’m willing to bet its a common fault on that car and there will have been loads of people who have had simillar isssues probably sorted without replacing the whole lot!

It probably is the battery – but definitely try jump starting it first – then at least you will know its the battery.
Failing that a multimeter or OBDII should diagnose it easily enough.

Sounds pretty pricey for that work, I cant believe a new power steering rack can be that expensive – could you find a rack in a breakers yard and get a local indie garage to fit it? Rear brakes is also an easy DIY if you are tool minded.

The return store? The refurb models? All prices have gone up, 2015 MBPs are more expensive and it wouldnt surprise me if the refurb ones are too.

Sorry predictive text on the phone – yes I meant the refurb store. My point is the refurb models – which have now also jumped in price – to similar prices to the prices that new ones where a few days ago – clearly have been in the country for some time – hence why they have been refurbed. The exchange rate therefore should not affect them at all – so Apple has just hiked their prices on them to reflect a constant 10-15% less than a full price machine i.e. just making more money on the same machines they have already imported.

I think they have put up the prices in the return store too, which is very annoying and a bit underhand.

Look lovely, my 2008 macbook getting quite creaky now, but there is now way that i’m coughing up that kind of money. Have the put the prices up of the 12′ macbook too? Seems the cheapest one is now 1200.

Just get it, I have it through work, no side effects at all. I think the anti Vax movement has sown a pervasive distrust of vaccines, largely based on bog all. Proper flu can make you really sick. When you have seen an ITU full of young vented patients you might have the jab!

Its impossible to have a view on this without having examined you, chances are if the nurse who saw you thought it was fine it probably is. Having a cut into a muscle isn’t a problem – cuts into the tendons or nerves near muscles are – its impossible to know that without examining you.

I really wouldn’t try hyperbaric oxygen, there is loads of evidence coming through in anaesthesia and ICU medicine just how bad for you too much oxygen is. The idea that lots of oxygen is safe is turning out to be a bit of a myth.

Technically the best would be a thoracic epidural ;-)

AE dont do anything for rib fractures anymore unless you have a flail segment (Google it) or serious underlying chest pathology. Tramadol or cocodamol or just paracetamol will do, the most important thing is that you take it regularly not just when it hurts. You need to be able to take a deep breath, if you can’t your sitting duck for a pneumonia.

t all very much sounds like it is about pay.

I dont think anybody is denying pay is a factor – we dont want to be paid less for doing more work – hardly ridiculous. However dont forget that we didn’t start this, the government did. Tell me honestly when you have heard a junior Doctor complaining that we want a pay rise, we simply want to retain the terms that we have – given that the overriding driver behind this is political ideology of the Conservatives and not patient care.

In North Wales their signal is dreadful. I’d go for two days sometimes with no signal. Since been on O2 and EE, both vastly superior.

I used to live next to three cliffs, so know the owner. It’s an immaculately run site bit does like its rules. Hillend has always seemed a bit of a cash cow in comparison.

It’s buzarre they want it, I struggle to believe that anywhere sophisticated enough to have a transfusion service would ever give out blood on the basis of a secondhand historical blood group. They would as stoatsbrother says be killing people left right and centre. Believe me you don’t want a transfusion reaction, it makes you very very sick.

Toxic dose of cipro is 70mg/kg assuming you weigh 70kg and you have taken 2000mg your aling way under that.

Just looked it up on toxbase for you, peak concentration about 1-2 hours post dose so if no problems yet, unlikely will be provided you are fit and healthy. Official guidance is not to worry and send home under toxic dose.

I wouldn’t be too worried if it was me, however corollary to this I don’t know you, and don’t know your medical history. If your worried go to ae.

Oh but reading your op again you don’t have high blood pressure. I wouldn’t worry at the mo.

Common things being common LVH is normally down to high blood pressure, which you would have risk factors for. Diagnosing of an ecg, whilst possible isn’t very reliable. I wouldn’t worry till you have had an echo diagnosis.

One tip I’ve always found useful is to release the bleed nipple before you remove the caliper. That way you have more purchase on it it, and if you can’t get it off you haven’t taken brakes apart !

Any major trauma from BPW should bypass Merthyr anyway and go straight to Cardiff via the prehospital service, I really doubt if its having a major attendance affect at Merthyr AE. Nobody minds a few bashed up bikers anyway as has been said!
