After 20 odd years of mountain biking only, it’s the only sport I can do!

I’m fairly sure that the Hemlock is 2:1 (trying to remember back a few months)

My Ibis with coil pikes and very heavy D321 wheels is 30lb, a change to some decent wheels and air Lyriks should see 28lb.

RPRT…£4.45 seems like a lot for a pic……if it was £2 I’d buy both pics you have of me.

I though it was pretty good, yes the timing bit was sketchy but it was a good craic. I was happy to beat Ed-O on the same bike!(pending re-released results)

I would say that jacobs and rushup + roych are best done as downhills (defo rushup as I think it’s one of the best in the peak)

I went to Stif thinking of getting the powder blue one, then I saw the orange one in the flesh and that was that (btw that photo does it no justice it actually looks even better!!)

I’ll be changing to Lyrik solo’s and new wheelset to get it to a 28lb build.

2hats, where did it crack? I’m certain that Scot or Hans at Ibis would be very eager to help your mate out.

    edit….alloy+steel frames also break!

The lopes link is supposed to stiffen up the back end, I haven’t got one and don’t notice the back flexing anyway (100kg) going to fit a DT swiss 10mm RWS when I get my new wheels. I had my first proper ride in the biblical rain in the peaks yesterday. I was worried it wouldn’t descend as well as my coil heckler but it is even better, well impressed down the rushup edge steps and rocks

    dammit…too slow!

The travel adjuster is like a screw thread plastic part inside the coil spring. I guess you have broken that bit somehow.

I’ve just come from an XL heckler too! I fancied some more sophisticated suspension and found it with the DW link.

Theres a couple of sections that are muddy but other than that you should be able to get round the red route ok.

I’ve got Kennedy m5 and m6 helicoli kits from cromwell tools for about £20 each. If you live anywhere near Doncaster/Lincoln I could do it for you. I got mine to do a pinch bolt on my boxxer axle which the previous owner had mangled.

    Brechfa aint worth the trip.

well you must have ridden somewhere different to me! defo worth a trip we did the red and black routes toether in one loop and added an 8 mile road loop to the pub just for good measure (the pub in the local village was closed). the middle of the black Raven loop has a brilliant ‘bike park’ bit with some huge table jumps.

they stitched me up when I bought a set of needle bearings for my shock, they were crap (gone back to TF tuned poly bushes) ,sent back and never got a refund despite several calls. set of bearings I put in the heckler swingarm are knacked after 5 months and 20mm front wheel bearings also gone. stick to SKF bearings from your local bearing factor.

Stif have probably got 20 odd Ibis and SC frames in stock! they also have a carbon Blur frame, it’s quite tasty.

I’ve just bought a Mojo from Stif, the DW linkage is very impressive, almost no suspension movement even when out of the saddle sprinting. Can’t wait to get it built up! 😆

right thats it, I’m off to Stif to get one!

I’m lovin’ the blue frame, what’s the difference on the SL? is it just lighter, bearing in mind I’m a big lad.
