mine was like that when I bought a set s/h, turned out that someone had just turned the adjuster too far at one of the extremes and it had jammed, gentle persuasion got it working fine again. Get yourself a pair of softfaced pliers from cromwell, makes the job a lot easier.

I would say that 2.2 maxxis wetscreams have ultimate mud grip.

    mini dh[/url]

mark_b I take it you didn't do the mini dh event? average time down was about 1.18 and bar about 10 hardtails the other 250 were 'proper' DH bikes. I admit there was only very small rocky sections but they was some decent speed, watch one of the video's

definitley not but they'd both be having fun, and thats all that matters!

Summer season not single speed (those are real freaks!), yes it's a 20" and I'm 6'3". The course had some fairly rooty sections and braking bumps but I was pleasantly surprised with capability of the bike with Pikes on. I was definitley getting some strange looks from the 'DH' crowd. Has to be said I am looking at buying a 224 evo…..

if it's a normal mojo then it had alloy cups glued into the frame for a integrated headset, nothing to face. If it's an SL the bearings go straight into the frame. Don't worry about the BB just fit it.

some folk bang on about 'glazing' pads, this can happen on cars with plain faced discs if overheated. Bikes have discs with holes/grooves etc which prevent pads from glazing (and to allow gasses to expand). Just fit sintered pads and forget (organic wear quicker).

They don't it's a right lot of BS, fit and go ride, they will bed in as you use them.

Yup, I was there on my honeynoon 12 yrs ago (yikes!), it wasn't as bad as in the pics but the trees were covered and benches near the edges. Mainly caused by the abrupt vertical banks of the lake making the waves shoot up in the air, making a fine mist which freezes easily, looked really funky! will have to find a pic I took.
