What’s the correct quote then Elfin?

Either way, I’d have cedar wardrodes full of Turnbull and Asser shirts, a last of my feet at John Lobb for my shoes, a chef, a Maybach, Sacha White on speed dial for new frames, the list goes on.

I’ve got a solid family, no psychological baggage, I’ve self actualised, so I could just enjoy that money.

I came to this world with nothing and I’ll leave with nothing but love, everything is is just borrowed.

If I won I’d buy you all a bike; the jackpot can never be enough, private jets to the Alps for an afternoons riding, buying private islands etc etc; It would be the bollocks, people who say money is the root of all evil haven’t got any, FACT.

BMC and Cerveverywhere shouldn’t even be in the same sentence as Parlee, Bob Parlee is to carbon what Pegoretti/Richard Sachs are to Steel. Speak to Bespoke bikes in Hoxton who I’m sure would refer you to customers to talk about their Parlees but if it was me it would be Parlee hands down

Given it took me half an hour I expect the youth have got faster and more discreet methods; the local fire station advised several other methods over the phone before a friend suggested this

ruined mine within 3 days in the Alps a few years back.

How do you destroy a hub in 3 days? Which bit failed?

    BenHouldsworth

Cool; I’ve already got the hub and it’s only going to be used on those days that gears are the sensible choice i.e 100 miles.

As previously stated and what is stated in all drivers briefings for endurance races is its the responsibility of the faster car to make the pass safely and of the slower car to stay to the racing line.

Just like sking or any sport the crazy f….er coming up the rear or trying to overtake needs to take responsibility for his actions, needs to count his blessings he’s alive

So people are making bikes with headtubes that mean you have to cobble up something that fits yourself? As a rigid single speeder you are going to have to explain the value of this ball ache given that most of us will never really notice the difference.

Unless someone gives a proper answer, not just its stiffer on my hardcore Surrey downhills, then I’ve got to call BS on it.

These developments are the equivalent of “maybe its Maybaline” for girls and mascara.

do you also use razors that prevent ‘tug and pull’?

Anyone do the Viking Chase up above Stokesley?

I’ve ridden Dalby for more than 20 years and I preferred it pre trail centre but then for me cycling is about discovery not riding around an uninspring man made loop

Once you ridden it a few times it doesn’t have alot more to give; head to the moors

Jeff Buckley- Lover, you should have come over

Looking out the door i see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations as their shoes fill up with water
And maybe i’m too young to keep good love from going wrong
But tonight you’re on my mind so you never know

Broken down and hungry for your love with no way to feed it
Where are you tonight, child you know how much i need it
Too young to hold on and too old to just break free and run

Sometimes a man gets carried away, when he feels like he should be having his fun
And much too blind to see the damage he’s done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that really, he has no-one

So i’ll wait for you and i’ll burn
Will I ever see your sweet return
    Oh will I ever learn

Oh lover, you should’ve come over
    ‘Cause it’s not too late

Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep that will never come

It’s never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It’s never over, all my riches for her smiles when i slept so soft against her
It’s never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter
It’s never over, she’s the tear that hangs inside my soul forever

Well maybe i’m just too young
To keep good love from going wrong

Oh… lover, you should’ve come over
    ‘Cause it’s not too late

Well I feel too young to hold on
And i’m much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind to see the damage i’ve done
Sweet lover, you should’ve come over
Oh, love well i’m waiting for you

    Lover, you should’ve come over
    ‘Cause it’s not too late

I ride 32:20 on a rigid 29er and it’s the lack of suspension not gearing that slows me down in group rides

    From the BBC website:

He never stepped inside the compound and his impression was that only one person lived there but, he added, that every now and then he saw a red pick-up vehicle, with a goat inside, being driven to the compound.

Surely more should be made of this particular revelation.

You are suggesting this is real are you?

RaceScene in Barnsley, DA/ChrisKing and Ambrosio Excellight rims, still true after 3 years, unlike my Hope/Stans from JustRidingAlong that are out of true after 3 months (smooth cross country use).

Full sus 100mm 29er would be fastest for Dalby, towards the end it’s not smooth at all

What did she say? Bombing the carriage and having sexy time with the body parts- that is offensive and needs moderation, was it that bad?

    BenHouldsworth

I appreciate that moderation is part and parcel of forums but at the extreme end of things fundamentalism is born out of the oppression of free speech; there are d**ks in the world who say daft things but hiding their point of view doesn’t remove it only subvert it

TJ- having not read the post I don’t know if it was offensive or not but as with TV if I don’t like it I change channels, is it a swearing ban or point of view ban; point of view bans I do not like

    BenHouldsworth

I must be too open minded as very little offends me on here, I like the extreme points of view; a vanilla forum would be boring and I wouldn’t dream of dobbing someone in, that’s what the mods are for

I changed from a 2.2 to a 2.4 Ardent on my rigid 29er and I have to say that while it looks a little bigger I don’t notice that much more comfort.

Pumped up to 40psi, mine has a 2.3 diameter.
