before we bring back the death penalty we could take a leaf out of this guys book

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio

How a prison should be- chain gangs, prisoners forced to wear pink underwear, living in tents etc

no we need to have a country were criminals are harshly punished for serious crimes, they are not at the moment! People need to see that crime does not pay

ILMG, we need to get together and work on a manifesto!

As for my comments being taken as racist, I’m just severley intolerant of Tw**s and those who make excuses for tw***ish behaviour.

Of course not. Your attempt at a Jamaican style accent betrays your racism though. That you should be ashamed of.

Society will get on just fine with or without your opinions.

My faux accent is that heard in the mouths of most of the kids that I meet, black or white, its origins are irrelavent and I’m not ashamed of anything.

of course it’s the Polices fault, how could any of these poor souls be held responsible for their own actions; I just hope a mobile soup kitchen is on scene with sustenance, they must be worn out, bless em.

There are some ignorant and hateful people on STW.

I should be ashamed of myself; staying in on a Saturday night and not breaking the law and taking exception when people think the behaviour shown in Tottenham can be validated in anyway.

What hope for society when there are people like us who think whats happened is wrong.

It’s not patronising, I know exactly the kind of people involved in this, both black and white, I see them through work, at my local pub and I know their completely detatched thought processes

Why did the guy have a gun in the first place? What job requires an illegal fire arm? IT DOESN’T MATTER who fired first, he should not have had a gun in the first place; now I’m just waiting for how the police is all working for Babylon and man dem need to carry heat for protection

I’m with Grantway, if you carry a gun and end up getting shot by the police then I’ve got zero sympathy, as for the rioters they’ve obviously got the same mentality as the guy carrying the gun, not sure how destroying you’re own community moves things forward

    Who’s going to answer this?

My handbuilt Bromwich had a 150mm stem and handled like a cruise ship.

If you want to set it up as per 90’s don’t expect to comfortably ride the trails of today.

Drac, the door is not open, you can see the frame.

As for you not enjoying it, what would excite you?

would you prefer to believe it’s “real” magic ?

I know it’s all BS but given that most thing nowadays are decoconstructed and knocked down as soon as they arrive isn’t it nice to have a bit of light relief?
I enjoy the suprise off his tricks, I enjoy the performance but I guess this forum is generally populated by grumpy old men so it would be out of character just to enjoy it for what it is

that said I just rewatched the ‘through the window’ clip and I can’t see that door moving so its still magic to me

Really honestly, no wonder you can’t work out the window trick

    Whats the explaination then Drac?

As for the glass someone is going to have to spell it out to me as a security guy moving slightly doesn’t explain him being on the otherside.

With so much knowledge on this site how come he’s on telly and getting ladies day and night and you lot are using your lunch hours to discuss it?

I just saw the the phone trick slowed down but how did he know what phone the guy was going to have and how did it ring when his number was dialled in?

    BenHouldsworth

My other half will not watch it with me as I can work out how hes doing half his tricks. The one where he goes through the glass window in that footballers gallery was blatantly obvious IMO

How’s the window done then Soma??

I’ve got my own ideas on the Matrix style move, big magnet, steel plate in shoe and strong abs.

Its all pretend but still very entertaining and having seen close up card tricks it does make your head hurt, I once had a guy get me sign a card at a charity event, shuffled the pack and it disappeared; left the dinner 3 hours later and it was behind the wiper on my car…..keys were in my wifes bag and he never asked me what I drove

Like I say the insurance company shafted me. I’m 6’2″, reasonably normal proportions and when I got a professional bike fit they said I need a bike with a 565mm top tube and 200mm head tube, the Roubaix has the same length top tube as the Tarmac (585mm) so I’d only loose the spacers not the short stem.
The point I’m making is be comfortable on your bike and don’t worry if your stem’s long or short, +/- rise, I’ll happily tear the legs off carbon wheeled, 130mm stem guys at our club run despite my upright position.

Hate to quote a man I hate but it’s not about the bike.

It all all about the comfort; let’s be honest, the Tour riders have great core strength, flexibilty and its all about winning, comfort is very low on the list, just like F1 drivers. We on the other hand are either middle aged or rapidily approaching it and should buy bikes that fit us not 23 years old athletes.

Lot of spacers, short stem upside down and a bent seatpost?

Speak to Specialized about creating a 58cm frame with a 585mm top top and 160mm head tube, it was like riding Graeme Obrees super man bike.

I acquired the frame through an insurance claim where I got shafted by them pretty much dictating what I could have, at the time a £1700 top end carbon frame seemed like a deal but I didn’t think about the fit; it replaced a Principia that fitted me like a glove.

Next frame will be a handbuilt stainless steel jobby by Ricky Feather in York (permission form my wife allowing), HE DA MAN!

Thats my short, steep stem. I need a 58cm frame for my legs but a bike fit recommended that for a correct position. Bike fit done at Race Scene, Barnsley, highly recommened.

Before anyone comments on the garage doors, yes they need replacing and that weed need to come out.

The big question is are you comfortable? I spent years trying to replicate the flat back position of ‘pros’ before finally getting a bike fitting and for the frame I was riding (58cm S-works Tarmac) ended up with a 100mm Thomson, 5 degree rise and 30mm of spacers.

Have a look at this to get an idea

We usually park at the end of Carr Lane near Thirlby. From there you can climb up on the Cleveland Way, head over to Boltby then spend time dropping in and out of the woods and down the bank; some very cool singletrack downhills off Black Hambleton.

Within the woods, depending what they’re chopping down the singletrack can loose alot of its flow between visits

I had had a 7 hour sitting once and the best way I can describe it is like someone dragging a blunt drawing pin across severely sunburnt skin.

it’s not acute pain, more chronic, I got a light sweat on at times but giving that girls have it done I’d say man up.

On the Last day it’s a procession until Paris and then only the sprinters race; effectively it would be seen by the peloton as VERY poor form to attack the Yellow jersey today.
If Cadel crashed and could get back on they would slow until he rejoined the group

I ride a Kona Unit 2-9 and for what I enjoy, long XC, it couldn’t be better; that said, take it on steep, technical downhills and you do feel like your about to go over the bars BUT it rolls and rolls.
