    @chipps They went on without levers at all IIRC. The rims they went on (Orbea own-brand things) are very accommodating though.

    p.s. Mainly Lancashire. Not Yorkshire. :)

    Yep. Subtract BB height from grip-to-floor height.

    They do indeed. Different feeling rubber though IME.

    A really useful measurement to know is your grip height (from the floor).

    It’s often the one constant dimension that helps when setting up/comparing different bikes.

    @b33k34 – Range: that was 1,000m on full power setting for the whole ride. I’ll add that info to the review.

    Tricky to do a useful size comparison because platform size is one thing but it’s arguably the pin-to-pin area that is more telling. We’ll see if we can round up some popular flatties and take some pics/measurements etc.

    “Insane levels of 3D traction [ AKA lateral compliance, chassis ‘give’; helps maintain traction on cambers etc ].”

    Edited in this explanation now. It wasn’t very clear before was it? Soz! :)

    And yeah, good shout about Starling etc. Ta!

    @Gribs – Yep. Soz. Amended.

    @chipps
    – yes and no. The swingarm is relatively long but chainstay length is BB to rear axle.

    Funn do 55mm risers in 31.8 I think.

    And I have vague idea of Answer (remember them?) doing 60mm+ bars again..

    “There’s an Orange Switch 6 being built for review, why is it pink and why with Formula suspension for example.”

    Pink is a stock colour from Orange.

    Formula because we haven’t reviewed any for aaages and they appear to be sufficiently interesting/different to the Usual Suspects.

    “And say if I find something interesting and think “oh STW/other should review that”. Do I ask the manufacturer, distributor, or the mag/site?”

    Mag/site. editorial @ singletrackworld dot com probably best email address.

    @bikesandboots Yep. My sealant of choice pretty much. Will probably get some sort of honourable mention in my Editor’s Choice 2023 stuff.

    I’d also pop into a Go Outdoors for a look at Jamis and Polygon 27.5 models.

    @zerocool 1. The battery can be removed I think (it’s a bit faffy and only meant to happen if needs repairing/replacing I reckon) but the motor remains in place o it isn’t as weight savey as previous E Zesty models (if that’s what you mean?)

    2. Hmm. I’d say no to ‘decent’ insertion. ‘Acceptable’ insertion maybe. This XL can only *just* about about have my saddle low enough at pedalling height with the 170 post inserted as far as seat tube allows. The L also comes with a 170mm post too IIRC. In this instance, it’s fine for me but for other folks and/or on other sizes, I dunno.

    @w043 Yep. Defo wouldn’t go smaller (if that’s what you’re weighing up).
