No doubt I’ll get slated, but here’s a photo of mine. It’s not very helpful considering you’re after an arm tattoo and it’s a little tricky to photo considering it’s on my back:

A week in the golden triangle for me. Heading to Chiang Mai in April for a spot of credit card touring. Can’t wait!

Thanks Stevo, I think I’m going to compromise on the route and fly in and out of the same airport so will use my bike bag.

Bike bag it is then I think, and just try and stash it somewhere during the trip. Was just curious as to whether anyone had done it with success.

    Thanks all

Cheers for all the suggestions, lots to consider there.

It will probably be for about 7 days and I won’t be camping so can travel pretty light. Will let you know what I opt for.

    Honda Phantom.

I’m only allowed a 200cc bike, having passed my first test in Singapore this year (need to drive for a year before I can take the 400cc test, then another year until big bike test 🙁 ). I do get to ride big engined exotica in Thailand though. 🙂

Don’t have a photo to hand, but looks like this:

Anyone else who was an OCD Lego builder – couldn’t abide those kids who’d build multi-coloured walls with no regard to colours and pattern

Raises hand. I had to have colour symmetry too, even if meant searching through my pile of Lego for hours for that missing piece.

    Congratulations Cap’n.

When are you next in SG? Looking forward to wetting the babies head with a Taiwan beer and a Din Tai Fung dumpling or 10. 🙂

Damn you all! Crisp availability is somewhat poor in Singapore and I crave UK crisps at the best of times but this thread has made my lack of a good crisp really hit home.

Anyone fancy popping a bag of cheese and onion in the mail? 🙂

Sex lies and handlebar Tape is definitely worth a read.

    Yup, I’ve got one.

I had a similar design in black. I found the black finish wore off the strap very quickly, but apart from that it was reliable and I really like the slim design.

I’d look for a bare metal strap in future, not sure if that one above is or not? My strap was the same design but the black finish wore away to reveal silver underneath.

Clio Cup would be my choice.

The other thing you HAVE to do is go and eat Bhelpuri from the street vendors on Chowpatty Beach.

Nope… Never had that issue – what browser are you using?

Gore Phantom. It’s a brilliant windstopper and keeps you dry in the odd shower too. A bargain at that price too, think I paid aout £140 and still considered that good value.

I loved the city personally, had a great time there last year.

One of the highlights for me was visiting Dharavi (one of the biggest slums in Asia, if not the biggest). We met some of the most friendly people there on our whole trip. If you get a chance you should visit it.

We went with a local guy called Mohammed. He was born and bred in Dharavi, has taught himself English and set up his tour business. It was inspiring to meet him and if you are going to visit consider having him show you round. You get to see all the industry within Dharavi and he give you some great insights to the city.

My favourite chippy in Leeds was Bretts.

The best chippy in my new area?

Smiths[/url] in Katong. It’s suprisingly good.

Woody – Will do, Gulmarg does look brilliant.

Captain – Beers sounds good. Should be in London village the weekend of the 22nd of December.

    Evening Cap’n.

I’m back over to the UK for Christmas so thinking of getting a cheeky trip in for the new year.

I’ll definitely be getting some Asian skiing in next year, probably Japan though am tempted to check out Gulmarg in India for some serious powder.

6′ and ride a medium Yeti. It really depends on the bike though.

Someone should bid on the titanium Mtrax, I would if I was still in Leeds.

Some awesome stuff listed in there.
