The solution is simple, don’t leave your bike in the garage or shed.

But this is a better option than them breaking in to your house to steal them.

Had my 3stolen 17nov when I was at work got my road bike back after 3days thanks to twitter put the photos on there and sent them to local PCSO who found my road road bike in a house raid the photos are all local police stations as well. I was told told that Manchester and London is very bad with gangs looking for bikes to strip and sell the parts on. Not sure how to stop this prob as no body checks to see if the parts we buy on eBay or inter web are stolen. Frames poss but not stuff like every day parts. Any best thing to do is get as much info as poss on the Internet.

If they want to steal your bike or even your car then know matter were it is or how well you have locked it up they will take it. My mate had 2bikes stolen from his house they broke in when house was empty. his house is full of gadgets and all they took was the bikes. If they knows it’s there and they want it they will get it.

have a look at decathlon.i got the rockrider 9.1 and it might not be the big name brand but the spec on it is pretty good for the money.slx and deore drivetrain,tora air forks,xfusion rear shock,hayes stroker(i think thats the name)hyraulic brakes.its got me onto the full sus peg but not having spent a fortune i didnt have…

i got a 2009 Boardman team HT for £250.
the seller had it ending at 3am on new years day :lol: when very drunk i won it. and its mint the owner got it for work used it twice and lock it up for 12mth in the garage.

so i would look on here and ebay also local adds. there are bargins out there.

what you using it for ie what type of rideing ?

if you do go for full sus then there is loads of bikes for £1200 notes.
look for bargins sale stuff or ex demo.

Or get second hand and spend some cash on your old bike then you can have both HT and full sus ?

not good in mud or wet grass. fast rolling good for hard packed tracks.

Sorry to here that pepper. Got my dali from a rescue when he was 8mht last owners had beaten him. He had never been on a lead it’s been hard going but he is good now. Still needs to grow up he is 2yrs and loves running next to the bike.

My dalmation will run a long side me all day if I let him.

Just put a set of Conti barons 2.3 on. was good at shedding the mud roll ok on Tarmac also grippy on wet grass decent.

The Cube AMS 110…Specialized Pitch FSR Comp …and im sure i have seen Lapierre Zesty 214 for that price…also look at bikes that are not big no name IE decathlon boardman….but the giant trance x is a good bike. rember its a lot of cash so make sure you try the bikes and they feel right for you.

Yep got a hpi savage and my son’s got a T-max both cost a arm and a leg to run every time there out some thing breaks. I am thinking about selling them soon as there not getting used.

Yer had it happen last weekend on a decent turned in to a corner that was cobbles covered in loose gravel and I’m still in pain got 2 weeks of work both arms are a mess and a purple leg. Feeling your pain.
