Two lads in work have Dusters. One’s a surfer type, the other lives in the country and both swear by them.

Given the new models gave android auto and a few other upgrades, I’d get one tomorrow if only the Mrs would step foot in it.

Transferwise for big amounts, Revolut for small/holiday spending.

I’d love to go all in with R but after reading some of the issues users have with big transfers in their forum, they’ve some way to go.

While cancer is an awful thing… in terms of deaths it pales in comparison to wars, religion, hunger, pollution and people generally hating one another.

Once it’s cured we still have a lon way to go

Ofcourse I am. Life is a mystery, thats part of the journey.

There is a growing number of folk that believe their dreams should be handed to them and mentally can’t handle it when it doesn’t work out. The work ethic (not employment wise, life wise) is gone and people want what they see on TV.

But all that said… I do honestly believe that people should have to pass a test or get a licence before they are allowed to breed. Too few are mentally equipped on how to raise a child.

I have one card. mbna did a very low rate card a few years back. 7% interest is nice whenever I have an emergency big purchase that will take a month or two to pay back. Most of ny friends have 20% interest on theirs.

The thing is credit cards do offer extra protection on certain things like flights etc so there is a point to have one. But you have to be able to trust yourself with it.

WARNING – BITTER IRISH MAN RANT

The biggest problem a indy Scotland or united ireland would have is the english.

The sheer scale of group insanity and lunatic politicial class shows me that separation would be messy, dark, bloody and in no way certain if a ref voted for it.

Vilnius. Amazing city, I go every year.

Personally, I wouldn’t take the risk. Most of Leaveland is likely to be hit worst by brexit. Unemployment rises = a lot of crazy *&£€ going down.

The thing to bear in mind is the size of the community you are moving to. Small communities, in general, dont like new people and will give a “nice but keep your distance” vibe. The bigger the town/city the less likely it is for that to happen. Northern Ireland is a prime example of this. I could also tell sime horror stories about what my friends have encountered in “open” germany.

    Hardly surprising.

Conspiracy theorists, idolisation of moronic celebs and post truth politics. It all adds up.

I have a few friends looking at outlanders. Just stay away from the hybrids, they are missing the back two seats due to the battery.

Spent a while looking at this over the weekend as well and opened my LISA with H&L. Over all costs worked out a few quid per year cheaper than AJB and nutmeg.

Recent fluctuations don’t worry me too much as I wont be retiring for 25 or so years

Pike is good but the main character, Micheal, is still long winded and dull. I dunno why, but HD just isn’t Trek.

It’s a shame that we’ll never get a new post post voyager.

Winrya – fair point but I always run on the idea of that £80 is better in your pocket (or mortgage) than in theirs.

Interesting thread. My 2p worth is if you’re making over payments make aure there isn’t a savings account with a higher interest rate than your mortgage.

Nationwide do a regular savings account which offers 5%. My advice would be if you meet the criteria, open one and pay into it each month and then pay the lump sum to your mortgage… along with that 5% interest ;)

Will be opening a S&S LISA pretty soon, just deciding who I set it up with. Like you all have said, can’t turn away that free government cash.

Trust me, this is not what the DUP want. They fear/hate the ROI and want a hard border (they know the problems it’ll cause the ROI). They can’t openly say it but it’s been their goal since day one. The DUP create problems, not solutions and are trying to force TM to do their dirty work.

the DUP want the border to stay exactly as it is whilst remaining in the UK – a massive fly in the pie for TM.

Sold about £500 worth of junk on ebay a few months ago. You won’t move obvious/popular stuff but you can shift plenty of things if you’re patient.

One word of warning – you’ll be amazed at the amount of people messaging you and trying to knock 10p of a cd. Infuriating to say the least!

I go into the office one or two days a week to stop me going mad. While i love WFH i really begrudge the increase in electric and heating costs in the winter. But that’s the price you have to pay, I guess

Bit of a hang over, old boy?

Its not only about travelling in europe – depending on “the deal” the UK passport could be a lot less useful when going to a number of countries.

Once you have it, your kids can then apply as well.

I have both (my name might give it away) and have used only it since the ref.

I understand your frustrations but EU citizenship is what the eng.. british want to surrender. EU nationals came here because they shared EU citizenship (that was the point of the EU) and in fairness to the government, they recognise this and international law backs the EU citizens up.

Post brexit, any eu citizen coming here will face the same obstacles as you’re wife.

EU applicants should be paying the same as everyone else.
