This risk free nonsense makes me laugh. You always run the risk of stolen money being used to buy goods from you (good luck explaining that to your bank).

If you’re the one buying and you bank transfer good luck getting any recourse if the item is broken or it doesn’t arrive and the seller stops responding.

It’s all up to you and you’re own risk appetite but for the sake of PayPal taking a few quid, I know which I’d use.

Just go with whatever is cheapest, usually chromecast or firestick

I’ve been doing the same for the last year and I’d say I enjoy the home work out a lot more than any gym I’ve gone to.

I find the argos opti range good quality and affordable. A little tip though, the argos website won’t let you get an order delivered however if you go onto argos ebay page you can order from there

@kula72 – ah, I see you’re practicing the old social engineering tricks. I work hard and contribute to this ‘society’ and can criticise the flaws I see.

    The whole whataboutery is weak.

Patriotism is the age old divider. Being from NI and growing up through our wee ‘problem’ has stripped me of any sense of local or national pride.

My other half is eastern European and despite the countries many flaws, she is very proud as they actually got rid of an real oppressor and build a country from the ground up. The UK would probably end up nuking itself if it had to put in that kinda hard work.

Plus, lets be frank. Like in the US, patriotism is used as a form of brain washing and public suppression. It’s just like in the days when you’d be an out cast fir not going to church.

My sense of pride is with my family and friends as they’re what matters. Not the white cliffs of dover or some battle that happened 400 years ago.

Interesting to see so many people buying individual stocks compared to funds.

That said, I used my free trades on revolut to buy a few tasty american stock thats taken an absolute hammering

Happened to me a few months back by some bugger in italy.

When you change your password make sure you tick the ‘all devices must use new password’ box. That boots all sign ins out and have to log on again

These (countless) environmental threads continues to show, even on STW, people love a good reason to be grumpy buggers.

B&M sell RAC label stuff and it’s the best I’ve ever used. Only £3 a bottle

Op, you misunderstand the situation. It’s not about stopping themmuns getting in, to the tories it’s as much to stop us getting out. The GB island will become a prison where the hard right will run us all into the ground for their amusement.

However, as a chap lucky enough to have a UK and irish passport, my tolerance for the crap the tories will unleash is limited and I’ve a pretty good escape plan should the time come.

Difficulty is, even if you get a fee free card in the uk, the foreign atm will likely charge you.

In NI we are lucky to have a few euro atm’s that we can use our fee free cards in. Does your town have any? Don’t use the ones at the airport as they charge you an awful exchange rate

Never had any time for Jess and almost laughed at the weekend when she said a great token gesture would be for KS to stand aside for a female leader. That’s literally all she had

Nope but given it’s connectivity (it’s the airline here for flights to regional airports in GB) within the UK it’d hit hard if it closed.

That said, didn’t virgin say they were buying them a while back?

I purchase my funds directly from vanguard for my s&s isa and use halifax share dealing for any individual shares I want to buy.

So far the only movie I’m interested in seeing is the man who killed don quixote.

Re 1917, I really wish the english could emotionally move in from WW1 and WW2 movies, but hey, they did vote for brexit.

Sainsburys and Lidl (aldi aren’t in NI). Sainsburys is a bit more expensive but I like the store (amazing staff) and i like their home stuff.

Tescos is horrendous, constantly rammed with people and despite having huge stores, it’s still a squeeze to walk through.

Asda – the stores here are worn down and filthy. Plus they do odd sized things and mask it with lowish prices

I watch Channel 4 news a couple times a week and thats it. There too much propaganda creeping in and frankly, a load of balls being reported as well.

As we continue to lean towards American standards in almost every part of UK culture, it’s no shocker that the news has deminished to such a level that most people don’t believe a lot of whats reported.

@seadog101 – the rest if the UK has always acted rather detached from NI. If the army carried out a small fraction of what it did in NI to somewhere like Yorkshire, justice would be a given.

NI should be a cautious tale to the rest if the UK. Shake up the establishment a little too much and you become fair game.

Interesting article came out today – organic would have a bad effect on the environment due to the amount of land needed and more travelling for the food

I don’t watch the new star wars, it ended at Return of the Jedi for me.

Pretty clear to me that the girl is either the emperor’s daughter or a clone from him.

Welcome to the club! I’ve been having awful headaches the last few years and when I visited the doc’s I was told my BP was sky high. She said it was probably genetics (my dads side of the family all have it) and I’m on meds the rest if my life, no arguments. There goes my dreams of being an astronaut.

The meds and a few changes to my diet have gotten me back to pretty much perfect BP but I’m stuck on the meds.

Good eu podcasts are few and far between. A quick search will bring up either news agencies/media outlets with a distinct pro or anti eu stance or you’ll find some done by mates who just want to have a chuckle.

If I come across any good ones I’ll let you know.

I’ve never trusted these networks that just pop up over night.

If it helps… 3 do a £9 sim only plan with the exact same offer (plus their roaming stuff). I just moved to it. If you’re interested go to MSE and they’ll have a link

@amatuer no they’re not vegan. We were discussing the recent vegan nutters blocking people buying meat when they mentioned going clean/organic.

This has been a really good thread. Always amazed at the knowledge on th8s site!

I love koko unsweetned coconut milk. I used it everyday in my breakfast smoothie.

Her indoors loves lidls organic oat milk.

The key is to get unsweetned as the companies pump a lot of sugar into the other stuff.

Star trek has had social commentary (female captin, minorities on the bridge etc) but Discovery has gone balls to the wall with it. You’d think it was made by disney.

By the way I’m not anti PC, but the old star trek shows had a formula that worked and embraced it’s flaws. Discovery shows that the best days of star trek are behind it.

I’ve a lot of fond memories of DS9 and Voyager. In fact, I watch two Voyager episodes every morning in sy fy.

The problem with the later shows was that they went backwards instead of taking place after ds9. Enterprise bored the baps of me. Discovery is completely ridiculous and as far as I’m concerned, it is not star trek. It’s a sci fi with all sorts of modern social messages, focused purely on one character with a star trek sticker put on it.
