Ah, I see. They only run on electricity that is paid for in a particular way.

So El Salvador’s plans to become a crypto mining hub will fail because they will use bitcoin to pay for the electricity to run their servers and not fiat. Someone should let them know.

Plans to use geothermal Energy, seems they are one step ahead.

The fenicular disaster in Kaprun was also a very serious accident with loss of life. Watched a documentary on youtube very little safety systems / redundancy in place.

I owned a t5 for 9 years and have repaced it with an Amarok 2.0l, does 35mpg av most of the time, a little more with care.
It has 5 seats, air bags etc air con and sat nav etc, a T5 with the same spec mileage would have cost a lot more. Has a high seating position, great on bumpy poholed roads. Will wade through 600mm of water which is handy in flash floods we seem to get more often. Was also usefull in the recent snow etc.
I have a canopy on the back which us essential for security with bikes etc.

Not fast but fast enough given the traffic, nice relaxing drive.
Bit of a pain to park but some forward thinking and it’s ok.

The big institutions are now looking and investing clients money into crypto, and in the US the SEC this is what will push up the prices.

Take a look at the interviews that Michael saylor has been putting out this week, this is
What may be helping the price increase today.

They are just trying to scare away the weak hands, so the institutions can buy at lower prices.

Put 1% into bitcoin it’s up 40% this month, likley to fall a bit as people may take proffit so keep an eye on it. Now that Paypal are accepting it in the US its likely to gain a lot more intrest.

Check out the outdoor boys youtube channel, he has made a diy forge and makes all kinds of things including knives etc. A good project was shaping a kife out of a rasp then heat treating and making a handle. Pick up a cheap rasp from q diy shop and give it a go!

On very slippery downhill tracks off camber roots etc it’s better not to peddle as the weight transfer is enough to upset the ballance and cause a fall.

You have to ce carefull when fitting rear seats as they should be crash tested, with VW T5’s rear seat belt mountings to the body are often required. Normal vans dont have this and aftermarket brackes are welded in.
Better to have factory fitted seats as it’s less hassle to insure and ultimatley safer.

The peak is not over for us here in North West Wales, there are hot spots in Anglesea one being centred around a large chicken proccesing plant.
Looking forward to hitting the trail centres and visiting friends and family more than 5 miles away.
I can understand why they are cautious.

If the speed limit is 50 then its the same as a van, if 60 then as a car with similar emissions.
I suspect the speed limit is 60 on a shuttle.

“The keep” directed by Michael Mann was filmed in slate quarry in my home town, used to wander on the set after school as there was no security. Fantastic as we made friends with the operators of the smoke machines and they would tell us what time they where fillming and allow us to stand and watch. Also saw the directors 911 sunk in quarry mud, to se a car like that in our town was a rarity nevermind treated like that. An episode of doctor who followec a few years later but it was not possible to gain access.

It was like a bank holliday in Snowdownia Yesterday, car parks rammed
Taken from the BBC Web site,

Snowdonia National Park has said yesterday’s scenes were “unprecedented”.

Chief executive of the Snowdonia National Park Authority Emyr Williams said: “The area has been overwhelmed with visitors.

“More worrying still is the significant crowding on the mountain summits and trails making it impossible to maintain effective social distancing.”

The park said: “If no further steps are taken we will need to take drastic measures to protect the communities and health services in north Wales, such as shutting down car parks and trails.”

The volutary ban was set up with the help of NWBA or the North Wales Mountain Bike Association around the early 90s. Adrian Walls was instramental in setting it up.

This was mainly due to people from large cities who had never been up a mountain or had any respect for walkers riding flat out down the mountain.

Please stick to the agreed times, mid week evenings are the best, reach the top 30mins before dusk.

Good place, took my road bike and cycled up to the beach then up the coast on a cycle track. Roundabouts have crossings just for bikes, out of this world.
Roterdam was also very nice with the maritime meusium and modern architecture etc.
Also cycled around the outskirts of the hauge, amazing houses some with very expenive cars parked outside.
