I used the 3m tape bought on e bay on my Commencal as they are prone to chipping but after a couple of rides the edges started collecting dirt, looked terrible.Maybe it was my application or a fake 3m but i wasn’t impressed, think i’ll give Gorilla a try next time,i’m not planning on taking it off. :-)

I’ll be using Clear Gorilla Tape on my next bike, heard it was much easier to apply than helitape.

5 am start and up Snowdon, you should be finished in time for breakfast,Petes Eats in Llanber.
Pop over to Penmachno and do the south loop, then quick drive to the Coed for a late lunch and then you have all afternoon and evening to do the Beast :D

A suggestion to halt things until he receives support.
Get him to cancel his debit card or visa card right away.
The bank will then issue him a new card
Tell him that when this card arrives that he gives the envelope to someone else to open and ask this person to erase the last 3 numbers on the back of the card.
He will still be able to make daily purchases but it can help as a boundary from making online payments.
This is only a temporary solution so he can get some breathing space and decide on the next step.

The next step is more difficult, gamblers don’t really accept that they have a problem only when they are down and out.
As soon as the down phase disappears they will be ready for the next fix.
This is not an easy illness to pinpoint and it’s also very difficult in finding a good therapist to deal with these matters.

Best wishes to your friend and kudos to you for helping him.
    Best of luck.

yes ap is son of but they seldom use it.
They still use ap in some surnames,in the past most people were called ap something ;-)
eg ap ioan – jones , ap dafydd – davies, ap ifan – evans and so one.
Mab is used to describe someones son.

If you visit CYB then the MBR trail would be suitable, has some good descents and not much climbing.
I was in BPW for the gravity this weekend and very impressed with the reds and Dai hard was spot on.
Something similar up here with be the blue Jumpar at Stiniog,Climax in Machynlleth, last 3 descents of the Marin, It’s is a 5km loop at the end and it’s a blast!
You could do CYB MBR in the morning and do a half day at Antur in the afternoon.Ring Antur beforehand though.
You could also go to Revolution bike park or maybe Foel Gasnach

51 this year and in my 2nd year of MTB.
First 6 months was a very painful with some bad crashes, used a lot of frozen peas during that time :-)
Takes weeks to months to get over some injuries,i try to get back on the bike as soon as possible or able,as the saying goes *use it or lose it” tends to be true for me.
Don’t crash as much now since my fitness has gone up.
Usually do around 60-70 km at the local trial centers.
Found this book helpful and also invested in a carbon fat bar, helps with the vibrations :D
I’ve also been taking these tablets for over 12 months and haven’t got a single cold or flu, maybe it’s due to excercise or something else but they seem to work for me.

Just purchased a size small Commencal Meta 29 and at 5’5″ i was a bit sceptical to begin with because of the wheel size but when my 650b was waiting on parts i hired a couple of 29ers at my local trial centre for curiosity mainly.
The 29 er blew me away :D speed and corners wins over the 650b for me.
Absolutely love riding it,standover is not an issue when your riding

If you dont mind being outside Dublin then the Waterside in Donabeate is ok
It’s north of Dublin and very reasonable rates,i paid £80 for 2 nights room only with seaview couple of weeks ago, lovely views.
The hotel has just been taken over by Choice,it’s a bit dated, room was warm and clean.
Food isn’t that great, better off going to Malahide, great Thai restaurant and the Provence cafe for breakfast.

From PB Interview with Steve Parr
    [here]

What about full face helmets then, will they become compulsory?

Full Face helmets will be, just for the stages, errm lets be honest. In Europe they have been wearing them out there since the beginning, yeah I know they have bigger tracks and blah blah blah ‘I don’t want to stick a helmet on my back, it dangerous’ I’ve heard it all before, its a load of b%*&:@s. You’re going to wear a full face, simple as. In your backpack, if you’re a normal MTB’er, you have spare bolts, pumps, spanners, all kind of things so it’s a load of b%*&:@0s. You will have to have a helmet on your head, of one form or another, done-up securely at all times. We have talked about like in Formula they have certain points where they can turn on generators to make more power or something, we’ve talked about ‘helmet free zones’ on transitions like the TRS zone or something in F1. Actually that was a forum suggestion that we are taking in to account, so we are thinking about something like that. Especially somewhere like Afan where the temperatures were nearly in the 30’s. There are different ways we can make it work. On stages full faces will be mandatory to a certain standard, we need to make sure what that standard is first.

I knew plus net was affiliated in some ways, what sold it for me was the plus net customer service is based in the uk and you could also talk to someone in the tech dept who had an idea what they were talking about and not reading from a sheet :-)
Nvever once saw a an openreach engineer in 15 months with bt,they kept telling me there was nothing wrong and it was my equipment that was at fault.
To be honest there tech dept was like talking with 3 year olds, did my head in so many times.
Changed to plus net and open reach were there within a week, they did 3 visits in all in,took couple of weeks until it was fixed.
It was a complcated fault as there was a mismatch in resistance on the A and B were the internet would just drop down in speed to accommodate the mismatch.
BT were not interested in fixing it due to needing to change several lengths of dropwire as there was no spare pairs available.
It seemed that plus net had extra leverage to get this done for some reason.
I’ll say once again! BT customer service sucks and i will stay clear of them from now on.

I moved house 2 years ago and signed up with bt,turned out to be a soul destroying experience with their customer service.
Initially it took them 3 months to get me connected ,the wiring was in place from previous owner, all that was needed was a few jumpers connected at the exchange.
Internet speeds was non existent running between .01 and .03 meg, both my neighbours were on 2 to 3 meg.
After countless phone calls and e mails for 12 months nothing was done, in the end i gave up.
Jumped to plus net and they sorted it out within a couple weeks.

I’ve been with Orange since the late 90s which is now EE,if BT come anywhere near them i’ll be looking for for another mobile provider asap.

It’s a bit sad how they’ve sunk this low, they used to be a good company,i should know i used to work for them :-)

The Norwegian sector is also slowing down with many lay offs.
Statoil have suspended more rig contracts due to over capacity as they put it.

    OP !I would buy a 16 as the 20 is a bit heavier,makes a big difference offroad.

We have just received a green Cnoc16 for our sons 4th birthday in a few weeks.

Changing to pedals will be fun!
I put on stabilisers for my son on his first pedal bike,he wasn’t too keen on pedaling to begin with.
Just got him to pedal a few meters a day,he soon got the hang of it,especially when he found out he could go faster, took around a week.
