It’s dry today, same forecast for tomorrow.Might not be so bad in the field then.

During the morning the riders are still practicing. The only issue with being later,is the amount of people that are on the mountain and the best viewing areas are packed, like the road gap.But there’s plenty of other places to view.Get some lunch or packed lunch before you arrive as the queues to the food can be long,a blanket or portable chair might be handy as well.I plan to arrive around 11 ish.

Magic Mary snakeskin tubeless front and back ,DH Tyre on the rear does help.
Exceptional tyre, the small cuts in the tread knobs, act like mini suction pads on wet slate.
Most of the top pros are on MM when they visit.
Other tyre,Minions,Conti Der kaiser,HR2 which i run on the rear in dry conditions.
Not really tubes friendly,dh tube on the back is recommended. One chap had 6 runs and 6 punctures, went home after that. Not a nice place to change tubes in the wind and rain as there is zero shelter.
Take breaks, now and then,it’s a demanding environment but most of all have fun,it’s a brilliant venue!

Went to Les Gets Cranworx woth my 7 yr old last year.
Awesome place, can’t wait to go back.
Tracks were great,my son struggled with the braking bumps,so we stopped a few times going down the tracks.

Does anyone else have to horse their valves up with a pair of pliers

When installing the valve on the rim, press the rubber side of the valve tight against the rim and hand tighten the screw, should be good then.
    I over tightened once,like yourself,i don’t like walking.

    From MTB Ranger on FB
    No mention about Penmachno.

“There are quite a few trees down on the Gwydir MTB trails. At least 10 on the first climb from the trailhead. And various trees down around the rest of the trail.

Realistically I won’t be able to get them cleared until sometime next week.

There is still a section closed on the last descent with a diversion in place.

If you do try and ride the trail, be prepared to climb over and around a lot of trees and watch out for branches on the trail. A few riders today gave up on the first climb!”

I developed a dull pain in my right bicep area around 4 weeks ago, gradually got worse with unbearable stabbing pains
Went to see a Physio, turned out to be a pinched nerve in my neck. She gave me a daily program on improving posture, slowly gettiing back to normal now.
Didn’t stop me riding or running, very uncomfortable at times though.

    Try looking on Strava?
Bergen has a couple of DH tracks.
You could head up to Voss as well.
Sogndal might be your best bet for natural stuff.

You might find Cheri Huber’s books, interesting to read.
    She’s a Zen teacher,
How to get from where you are,to where you want to be,is a great book.

Everyone’s mind is different, what works for one person doesn’t always work for the next.
I put this down to different levels of stubbornness, some minds are open, some are not.
You just need to find, what key opens up your own mind.
Zen methods are very good,at lock picking stubborn minds. :-)

    Plusnet +
Both my neighbours are witth BT on fibre broadband, they switched about 6 months ago when it became available with BT only.
I stayed with Plusnet on ADSL because of the past nightmare with BT.

Starting a trial fibre connection with Plusnet this month so win win situation.

Started MTB at 49,the first year was carnage,it crossed my mind many times to throw in the towel.
Glad i persevered, going in to my 4th year and getting faster every year.
Getting fitter has been the key for me,with regards to crashing,i used to be worn out after the climbs, then out of synch and not fully concentrated on the downs.
Stepping i up for 2017,need to defend my Welsh DH title,so i’ve taken up running, that’s proving very beneficial,in that my average heart rate has dropped around 10 beats on my regular segments, leaving me less tired and more focused.
I’ve also found that if i’m out of sorts or slightly tired,i’ll ride my 29er instead of the 650,i find that i get away with a few more mistakes on the 29 er.
I’ve done a few courses as well,Jedi and Alex Bond coaching.

    Don’t give up!
