Ps can someone talk me through posting an image? I don’t use any social media, I have google photos and have tried doing it here:

breninbeener you think? They are deep section Mavic cosmics, whilst maybe not iconic, certainly a thing. Think they look cool! Have got some much nicer, more subtle open pro hat rims db spokes and black hope hubs coming (I don’t like to think of wheels as things, but as collections of parts!)

Anyway, getting a large. My mind couldn’t cope.

Cheers. Mixed opinions very much like what is going on in my head!!

There is plenty of post in the frame still, think I don’t like that much post showing on a gravel bike. It is designed to be a dropped top tube bike and others appear similar ish.

You won’t find it on the vitus website considering it’s a Titus Goldrush…

Think I am going to see if they will swap it for a large, told them that I have ridden it so they will check it and let me know.

The bench is too small for me. Maybe hold the phone nearer to your eyes and it will look bigger.

I try so hard every time to get image hosting to work but it never does!!!!

I copy the link into a img link but it never works. Thanks Kelron.

Anyway, yes, as a gravel bike do people think with the amount of post showing that this frame is perhaps too small?

It feels bang on length wise, which is what I went off when I got it, but not sure if I should have gone for a large.

Rides amazingly (so perhaps there is the answer!) just bugging me.

Yes, had excellent service from them recently.

Bought a Topeak race rocket mt from them a few months ago, it got wet and became really sticky.

Emailed them, they replied asking for photos/videos, which I did.

They then replied quickly to say my replacement was on the way and I didn’t have to sent the faulty one back.

Thoroughly excellent service. I got the new pump a few days later.

I am half way through and LOVE this guy. Such a lust for live, it’s infectious. I love how he makes the days come to life just by being appreciative of what he has. Great ambassador for the sport.

The razor /stove thing is hilarious!

I am using a truvativ 4 arm 104bcd chain set, not sure of the exact one, got the chainring mounted on the inner side of the arms. I have put one spacer on the bb to move it out a little more.

I messed about with this for ages as I was getting a bit of tyre rub when the chain was slack. I have now found an elegantly simple solution, I have dished the wheel slightly towards the left hand side.

Works perfectly well and no chain rub. No doubt haters will comment about how the world may now well end, but so far it’s been fine.

Dunno if I mentioned it, but I am running this as a mullet at the moment with a 29+ on the front and a 27.5+ on the back as I am just waiting on a rim. 29+ definitely fits though.

+1 for edge explore. My edge 530 died recently and Garmin gave me an edge explore under warranty as a replacement (at my request). So happy with it, very clear and the touchscreen is amazing. Pan and zoom works great. Superb for navigating.

So. Used the shockwhiz again, much more pressure than before but also wound out the rebound so it was much faster. Been for a ride and the knocking has gone. Appears it was packing down too much. Perhaps.

Hang on….my shock pump dial may be completely screwed! Let me try with a different pump. Might have too low pressure.

So I have the shock back, no issues found but still there appears to be something amiss. I tried totally winding off the rebound and it appears to go away. Is it possible the shock is packing down?

Sent it back to silverfish. Had a play around with it in the garage to try and replicate it. It appears to be a definite knock when I quickly compress it and then it returns, tried all extremes of compression and no difference.

Also slowly deflated it and then back up, cycling it every 50 psi and it’s still there.

    Will see what they say.

I have a set of these and the angle you set them at is crucial. I found that I needed to have mine tilted quite a lot to match my natural wrist angle, in that position they are great but they are a bit low, so I am going to add a spacer under mine.

I also run the brake levers at a much steeper (ie pointing down) angle to match my wrists. If I have them flat like on my big bike, it forces my arms into a funny position.

Just did two days fully laden bikepacking and they were ace.

Clean the bb threads before fitting a bb. They are TIGHT.

    Also, don’t brake.

That makes sense. Hurrah for hub gears then!

    Mine is a 2020 version (I think).

I have a 29+ Up front and it does fit with no apparent issues.

Just curious why they would say the max tyre size was 27.5×2.8.

Hey ho, will give it a go and see.

Ok, so here is the clearance at the back. I think the rear wheel is not dished properly (I built it) so it can go over a bit and I am running a hub gear so the chain line is constant, this can also be moved over a bit.

Thanks for the ideas. Staying clear of vw’s, mainly cos of cost. Just want a van. Budget probably up to £10k.

I have a long drive to park it on.

I like the tourney custom as it has loads of seats already and two rows of double seats could be removed to create a really long storage area plus still fit five folk in.

I found an old thread an it suggests a LWB Tourneo Custom might be the way forward.

Yeah, it’s a nice idea but they are properly rough.

However, I think there are a couple of routes passing either side of the hills (Fawr and Fach). I vaguely remember seeing a rocky track coming down to Llyn Cwm Bychan.

Dang it! Beech!!!! I have started a new job so my mind is mince, that is what I will blame it on…

Anyway, Konagirl, thanks I will look into that.

Our sea kayaking experience is pretty basic to be honest and we avoid strong tides, rips etc, mainly on sea lochs etc. However, we will probably do some courses or something to become more sea worthy.

Aaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh….Too much to think about, but thank you all for your input. Loads to think about.

I think the Evil bikes (which look amazing) are too pricey. Found transition smuggler/sentinal for quite a discount.

Anyone want to buy a lovely, two tone Segment frame?
