    You can’t reinfect yourself 🙂

Although of course I could be wrong – the germs may have had a chance to feed on the coke, mutated and are just waiting to infect you. If you drink the coke (and new super-germs) you will die. 😉

Another chance to show off the insides of my arm? 😛
This was a brake lever impalement:

That took 7 stitches to fix, but then they thought I needed a more impressive scar…

Am now sporting this contraption, probably until I have a tendon transfer done at christmas time

Have to say – SO and lipseal that looks like it hurt more than my arm did!

I use it for only a few functions; probably ought to learn more of them – I just don’t have that much need though 😛

Once again some awesome photos there!
Here’s a few I took near Castleton at the weekend (sadly not as good as some of the above!)

You should have put “make list of things I need to do” at the top of your list. Hey Presto. Task number 1 achieved!!

    Darnit – missed a trick there! 😛

Don’t know if CRC will do price matching, always worth a phone call to ask though?
Although I expect if its out of stock at on one tehy won’t price match as they’re not technically available to buy at that price 🙁

Glad the hat did its job and you’re ok!
In my experience (mainly with giro helmets) the unisize ones are too small for people with big heads, which yes does mean you have to buy the more expensive ones…

Not having one today, but did have one on Thursday – the problem with autumn bbqs is how early it gets dark!
we were trying to see if our burgers were cooked through by candlelight!

Tends to switch between – “bloody hell that was hard work”, “ok, i really ought to go faster”, “that’s better” every so often but mainly just think about general happenings – I plan things out, and try and sort out various problems in my head – feel much better afterwards 😛

Am going walking with uni’s rambling society in the peaks on sunday though so will no doubt be keeping my out for cyclists!

My mum has one on her foot, she had it drained but it came back again. It disappeared for a while after she knelt down and squished it, but again it came back.
She’s been advised just to leave it be unless it causes problems, as although surgery is an option it still might come back and has quite a long recovery by the sounds of it.

I’ve heard lots about hitting it with a book – my mum is too scared to try but many people report success!

Cheeky bump for the morning crowd – surely there’s more than 4 people on STW (who’s members normally seem to know everything about everything!) with something to say about recumbents? 😛

Did you ride a proper bike recumbent or a 3 wheeler? yeah – i can imagine hills taking some getting used to!

    Bottom Bracket:BSA 1.37×24 / 73mm BB width
    Cassette:SRAM XX, 11-36
    Pedals:Not Supplied
    Front Brake:SRAM XX, 160mm Rotor
    Rear Brake:SRAM XX, 160mm Rotor

How much do you reckon all those component would cost? so what does that leave the frame to cost?
Genuinely asking – sounds like a lot of money but that spec does strike me as being a very high cost! (all be it not quite that much!)

Strikes me that you’re doing a good thing. Not enough kids these days are interested in anything like that and they should be. (makes me feel really old sating that!)

A lot of the big companies do demo bikes, even if you have to pay a bit to borrow one for your trip it might be the best option?
They’re designed to be tested and ridden and handed back so don’t worry about your morals, and if your friend likes the model that he tries maybe he’ll want to buy one from the shop that he demoed from (especially if they’re nice and give a bit of discount…)

Or as has been suggested, get a 2nd hand fame, if he doesn’t like it he can sell it on when you get back, hopefully without too much of a loss!

My contract on my 3G runs out next month, will have to look at prices – wil either go for a cheap sim only and stick with what I’ve got, get a 4 which will hopefully be a bit cheaper or just get a 5 and be done with it 😛

If it helps here’s my bikes, 14in scandal: (ignore the saddle height 😛 )

and my 16″ inbred (which is a tad too big):

I too am 5’4″, having sat on the newer versions of these (which I assume are the same geometry), I prefer the 16in size, but I do like to be quite stretched out so the 14in is probably bang on for a comfortable, relaxed riding position.
