Cus riding bikes makes me smile 😛
Not when this is what I see through the window though…

then it makes me sad that I can’t ride without getting wet 🙁

Definitely depends on the story behind a scar. Do guys also like scars on girls? 😛

I learnt one one of these (or something very similar)
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5400636/Trail/searchtext%3EKEYBOARD.htm

but I had actual keyboard lessons, rather than piano. Maybe an electric piano would be better suited as it will have less unnecessary bells and whistles than a keyboard but will have a better feel and sound quality for what is needed at the same sort of price

Funkier shorts have really nice pads in them, and seem to be well priced 🙂

I have a Giro phase, will probably replace it with the same again when the time comes as I like it 🙂

Surely, you’d prefer first drawn, first choice? You know, like those raffles where they have a load of stuff on a table, last thing is always a box of Ferrero Rochers. First drawn gets to go up to the table and pick the DVD player…

    Help me out guys!

I think that’s the way you should do it, might take a little longer to get all the prizes given out, but hey, this is about raising money for charity – and means people that have donated are more likely to be happy should they win something too!

I need edge protectors…whacked my face on the corner of a chair (wooden) yesterday whilst putting my shoes on!

If it was me, I’d just put some pipe lagging in the worst places, I think getting a few little bumps is important as it teaches kids not to walk into things!

I’ve just started using topcashback, eveni f it takes a couple of months for money to come through its definably worth it, a couple of extra clicks when buying online and you get free money!

Also quite like the no purchase necessary bits – got just over a quid by doing a car insurance quote thing on a comparison site…

A man with bald legs just isn’t right.

don’t care if it makes you go faster, shaven legs on men = yuck (well almost all the time!)

Not sure how helpful this is but I’m 5’4″, have a 16″ inbred but with a backwards lay back seatpost and a tiny stem, as its too big.

Now have a 14″ scandal too, perfect!

If it makes any difference I road a 17 (or 17.5″) framed Specialized Myka which seemed to be a pretty good fit too.

I’m in Nottingham for the next 2 and a half weeks and then back in Northampton after that, so probably a bit too far from london to actually try it out.

Only about 40 miles…and that was on the road!

That’s all going to change this summer though, lots of epic adventures planned!

Merlin were the cheapest of the well known online shops when I bought on a couple of weeks ago (especially if you sign up for the VIP thing)

As a student I don’t tend to donate money to charity…I have a 1 donation a year policy!

But this is such a good cause, so I’ve made my second donation this year!

I have 3×10 on my cross country bike, although I stuck an 11-36 cassette on so probably should be running a double at the front (have only used the granny once, and that was because I was being lazy!)

Sure there would have been a better way of doing it. I might have a look at what goes into the pot when people decide they don’t want to go.

Also think its terrible that families of people competing don’t get to go. Not expecting them to give loads of tickets, but 1 or 2 would be nice for the heats! Tom Daley complaining on twitter that his mum might not actually be able to watch him!

Got a picture of one of the big ones next to something for scale? So far my brain is refusing to let me picture a spider *that* big!

I have to say, I like their eyes 🙂

If 2 have gone, I would expect more to go, but hopefully in a 1 at a time kinda of way.

I wouldn’t want to tell you to ride in case you have a crash as a result, but hopefully it’ll be ok for a bit of riding.

Definitely take extra precautions though should (and I really hope it doesn’t) anything go wrong.

My mum didn’t seem *too* bad about it when I told her…

    Here’s “little” Ned

One of the hamsters in the shop was the hairiest rodent I have ever seen, would have taken some serious grooming! Thankfully this one is a bit fluffy, but definitely not that fluffy!

I’m supposed to be revising for an exam tomorrow…you know its not going to happen now…

I much prefer using a bottle cage, currently have to use a camelbak when on my scandal though as can only use a side entry, even with a lot of bending my bottle tends to rattle out pretty quickly.

probably because I bought a cheap bottle cage…

I like trail centres (well I’ve only ever done Cannock cus Sherwood doesn’t really count!), you get a few hours of riding, without faffing trying to find trails, and I’m not that good a rider, so I still find it a challenge to do all the “obstacles” especially at speed.

    But each to their own.

Aw 🙁 one day you can have a hamster Lee!

I’ve cleared a space for the cage and am going to the pet shop tomorrow, its a couple of weeks until I’m going home again so hopefully will have actually convinced parents by then!

    Pictures tomorrow maybe 😛

and leaving it in the care of my housemates while I’m at home but that’s not fair on them
Hang on – it’s not fair to force your housemates to look after a pet, but it IS okay to force your Mum to do it?

my mum won’t have to look after it at any point, it’ll be in whichever house I’m in, its just that my mum doesn’t want it in the house!

Cougar’s Fifth Law Of IT states “it’s easier to obtain forgiveness than permission.”

Get a hamster, then deal with the consequences.

very tempted to go down that route!

Apparently forgetting how old I am and going for the “can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster? can I have a hamster?” method seems to be the way forward!

The response was “Get a bloody hamster then!!!!!!!!!!!!”

have a baby – they’re all the rage

that’s a good one…maybe I’ll threaten my mum with “If I can’t have a hamster I’ll have a baby instead” and see which she prefers…

Did you not find that rats make better pets?

yes I did, and I would love to have rats again at some point, but I think a hamster is more practical at the moment as they take up a bit less room, and don’t have a big tail which my mum doesn’t like!

I have a small car (corsa), but can just about get 2 bikes in the back so only use a rack if I have to just for fuel economy (and in case I forget there are bikes sticking out the side of the car…)

Don’t find the rack (Saris Bones 3) to be difficult to use though, a couple of minutes and its attached to the car complete with bikes 🙂

If its wet I’d go for the NN/RR combo, I’ve been running a pair of ralphs for 12 months – they’re awesome in the dry, weren’t half bad in the snow but are just lacking grip when its a bit damp…

Much better when I was prepared for how long it was!

Can you guess what my wallpaper is now? that’s awesome 😛

You might find some good ones in here…. http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=mountain+biking don’t know how many will be hi-res enough though, otherwise just google “mountain bike desktop” or something like that, and browse ’til you find a good site!

Sorry, that really wasn’t much help for you!
