Unfortunately I don't think there is anything you can do, 'cept speak to apple and they'll fix it for a fee, or if you're on contract you can take out "emergency insurance" and they'll fix it for less than the price of the phone.

I've been luck, dropped mine twice but it's landed well!

Considerably less stressed now I'm back from the dentist!
Some tactical cramming is in order..although 40% can't be that hard…can it?

@thisisnotaspoon its taken less than a year of this degree to put me off working in chemistry!

Ooo, VSEPR, I think I can do that, I was trying to overcomplicate it!
Thanks for the book recomendation, I'll pop to the library on my way back from the dentist ( 🙁 )

    Why didn't I pick an easier subject…

When at uni…a bucket of water, a sponge then it gets a lube. At home a hose down, ad the drivetrain is degreased with fenwicks pink foamy stuff every once it and while… and then it gets a lube. Sometimes give the frame a wipe with tf2 / gt85 as well to give it a shine. Depends if I can be bothered or not!

Everyone must be given the rest of the day off in order to recover from the trauma. And someone needs to remember to bring some in tomorrow!

Either that…or someone could go buy some now… 😉

I did the iron on transfer thing onto a normal t-shirt, it peeled off after a while, but it's cheap and if you don't want a lot of use out of them it'll probably be ok.

Left me TV at home for my last month of uni (too much hassle bringing it up and a bit of a distraction), don't miss it too much. can get most of what I want on iPlayer anyway…
    The radio is much better!

I don't wear a helmet on my uni commute (all roads) but I wear one nearly all of the time otherwise; don't wear one to uni because its a hassle carrying a helmet about all day and don't rate my chances, even with a helmet, if I get hit by a car….

I didn't used to wear helmets, but then I bought a "decent" helmet and just got into the habit of doing it. I've fallen off a fair few times, never hit my helmet. Dented one when I hit a branch but it I wasn't wearing a hat I think I'd have missed the branch with my head anyway.
Its just a matter of weighing up the risk. Yes there is always a chance of serious impact (even at slow speeds) but its not as likely as goign very fast down a hill or whatever.

If you give me a question I might be able to help if you're still stuck (AS Level maths + a maths course since I've been at uni)

Before I start, I haven't read all the replies.
My opinion is yes the police should be informed. Even if the staff were ignoring it because they new the person in question has mental health problems (if thats the case) then they should have told you that's why they weren't doing anything.

People shouldn't be allowed to punch random strangers (even if it doesn't do damage). What if you'd not long been out of hospital after having an operation or something? a punch in the stomach (all beit not a strong one) could have done some serious damage).

Erm, make sure the cat doesn't feel left out (he'll be used to be the only one!) and, try and give him a break from the puppy so he still gets time on his own. They should get used to each other eventually (especially as the puppy calms down).

We got a new puppy (when we had an older dog already), they took some time to tolerate each other. Still have the occasional barney but mostly alright!

I've got one of the ones designed for compacts, just about works with my camera which is somewhere in between slr and compact.
Its not had a lot of use, but its great for timer shots and for steadying the camera on things like long exposure shots!

If he has a good few months…I daresay he'll abandon all ties with lib dems and call an election to go for an overall majority. if not, they're gonna have to take it day by day and see what happens.

By having a license for the bike, you've surely therefore had a provisional car license? I passed my test in september 09, but had a car since may 09 I didnt have a full license, but a license nonetheless…

what iPod is it? some of them (sorry can't remember which, but the apple website tells you) can act as storage devices which means it shouldnt wipe everything thats already on there.
Or, I daresay you can manually copy music rather than doing it through itunes although you might have to play around for a while to get it to work.

Sorry I couldnt be more help!

I'm off to the docs on thursday…
Started uni in september, had pretty much a constant cold until christmas (turned out my sinus was all infected and I had to have an op to clean it out!) only had one "proper" cold since then, but I've noticed I get a tight chest after / during riding plus copious amounts of coughing.
Wonder if this is what it is…

Get it checked! It sounds like you might have agitated it by using it afterwatrds (i.e was a little bit broken…now a more serious break) or could equally be anything else because I'm not a doctor 😛

Hope it turns out to be minor but a treated broken ankle will heal much faster than if you leave it!

Good luck and keep us informed!

you'd have to pay 23p 261 times for it to be over £60 so I'd stick with the 23p every year unless I've missed something…
Although if you include price of postage then it'll be less than that but still more 100 years worth of 23ps + postage for it to add up to £60

Some of the specialized cylce shoes (the taho I think) come with a hard sole, and you have to cut a section out for the cleat, so if you don't use spds you can don't have to cut it out and have a pair of shoes ideal for riding!
and, you've always got the option to cut the section out and put cleats in for spds in the future 🙂

Out of the ones you've listed I'd go for the spesh, and the giant is worth a look as well. But I think its a matter of which one feels best when you ride them.

Thanks – I thought that might be the case! I've looked at numerous reviews and head circumference charts and I think I'll go for the me2, it should fit (I'll keep the receipt in case!)

    That'll be 9.81m/s^2, good sir

Theoretically at the same time as the vertical component of acceleration, and therefore velocity (as they both start from 0) will be 9.81m/s.
(This is not taking into account the curvature of the earth etc although I don't think the range of the gun is big enough for that to make much of an effect anyway)
