I want to know what happens if they get through…and so do their southern counterparts…

Probably not a good idea. You could get 2 (small) dogs to combat loneliness but they're not going to want to spend that much time stuck inside (without being able to go to the toilet!), nor will they want to be outside for that long, especially in the cold winter / wet days.

Might be worth more points but getting an "easy" voactional qualification doesn't necessarily get you in to uni. If your mate has done a course at college related to what they want to do at uni (if thats what they're doing), then thats good! But whatever course it is you want to do might not accept someone unless they have an a-level or equivalent in certain subjects.

I've never understood why we have to pay for dentists and opticians but not other things. And I'd have less objection to paying a bit less, if I had to pay for other medical care because at least then its a bit fairer (especially if those on low incomes / long term health conditions can be subsidised further / free). I appreciate the NHS needs money, but the amount they charge for just a check up these days is ridiculous (and they wonder why people don't always go every 6 months!)

rest for a few days and see how it goes. It sounds like you've overdone yourself doing something (doing a lot of riding to get ready for the alps?!)

hope you feel better soon 🙂

Corsas and small peugeots tend to be reasonably priced compared to others 🙂

mediaconverter.org can only do 5 a day (unless you reset your wireless router to change your ip address 😉 ), you can convert videos to various formats, so if you just want the song you can do that too 🙂

we used a cage for our first dog on holiday, now have another for the second dog and it sleeps in it all the time. took him a while to get used to it and stop whining and scratching at it, but now he loves it!

I've got some Reba's. I'm below the weight on the side of the forks for air pressures so it took some adjustments to get it right…but I love them!

Although that deal on the SIDs on Merlin looks good 🙂

    Get well soon David!

I was racing last night, and I'm working tomorrow, so I might well go for a lap of the local reservoir (about 8 miles 😛 ), if I ride too fast / far my legs might drop off! 😛

The trek skye range is looking pretty good too 🙂

I've had many many rodents, I'm sure the hamster was the most smelly out of them all. Rats and gerbils were my favourites 😛

But tips for hamsters, handle it as much as possible at the start to get it really used to you, and don't pick it up from above (it'll think you're a predator!), put your hand in front and let it climb on. And make sure you give it things to do (e.g. things to chew, a ball to run around in etc.) this will keep it happy 🙂

    Just enjoy it 😀

ebay and firetoys.co.uk I've seen on in George Halls if you live near there.

Buy a cheap on with a 20" wheel to learn on, and then get a bigger one with better kit once you've got the hang of it 😛

It just slows every thing down because everyone who was overtaking (or just sitting!) in the middle lane, then they go into the outside lane and slow down the really speedy people!
I do agree, wouldn't be such a problem if people were in the right lane!

don't get me started! what annoys me even more is when lorries attempt to over take other lorries and take for ever because they are only going a tiny bit faster!

If a cyclist comes past I shall be staring longingly I think! (my friend is somewhat of a roadie, and doesn't like hills so she won't bring her bike!)

Spesh hardrocks are pretty good, if you can stretch to a talon (entry level is the talon 3 I think) they tend to be quite good value for money. Treks might be worth a look as well, for £375 you can have the 3900 disc or the 4300 (non disc but better elsewhere)

If its nothing it won't take them long to tell you, its always worth getting checked out. I think a & e give you 48 hours after an injury before you have to get referred from a doctor (well my local does anyway) so you can always go tomorrow morning if its still sore.

Although there's not much they can do apart from put it in a sling. But as already said, I'm not a doctor (not yet anyway!)

i foresee a broken nose in my future if i get one of those…

they're almost (note the almost!) impossible to fall off of because they fall out from underneath you and theoretically you always land feet flat no problem!

Might be mine out again once exams are over 😀

If you want to give it to charity, I think the british heart foundation sell a lot of electricals. If not take it to the tip, but no point breaking it cus if someone else can use it then surely thats a good thing?

Or if you want to sell…stick an add in the paper

I've got a 20", got to the point where I could ride for a while, but could never get independently going, not been on it since last summer…and I'm almost back to square one!

My friend dropped out of sixth form and joined the army. He's currently in Germany driving tanks, earns enough cash that he can drink a lot while he's out there, and when he came back last he bought himself a brand new car!

Anyone know how fit you'd have to be physically to join as a "sciency" person?

Leave the tap open for a while first, theoretically the remainant of the helium should slowly leave and air'll go in. Instinct says it'll be fine if you cut it open..but then again aerosols and stuff (which I know this isn't…) warn not to pierce the can even when empty…

I had a few random nosebleeds (amongst other things), turned out I had a sinus infection and a whopping great polyp!

Keep your eye on it, nothing to worry about on its own. If you start getting them more often or you start noticing other problems, get it checked out to be on the safe side 🙂

Its over, it was hard! Might have just scraped 40%. But they've changed the layout from previous years so even one of my best friends who has been revising for weeks and was super ready came out almost in tears 🙁 .

Next exam…half 4 tomorrow…revision done. half an hour. and i've got to get a filling tomorrow lunchtime. fun times.
